A car accident may have resulted in Emma being in a wheelchair however it doesn’t define despite what others think about her or treat her. Her marriage has been arranged to Samuel, soon to become the under boss, and she is going to show him and everyone else that she is capable of being the wife he needs.

Samuel is a man who is tortured by the past and not only doesn’t he allow anyone close, but he doesn’t believe he deserves happiness. Emma is a revelation as he was expecting a marriage where they were faithful to each other but lived their own lives however Emma is about to accept that or his bad behavior.

The suspense part of the story was low, but the emotion and angst was high as Emma forces him to face both his past and the effect it is having on their present. C.J. Mission brings out the turmoil that Samuel was feeling while Lucy Rivers allows us to feel Emma’s strength and resilience.
