The only thing that Jess wanted from her ex-husband when they divorced were her children but even that is proving difficult when he refuses to let them move so that they can be closer to her family. When she is referred to a lawyer she has no idea that it would be Brian, the man she loved when she was in college and hasn’t seen since.
Brian can’t believe that his new client is also his first and only love. He knows that agreeing to be her lawyer means keeping their relationship strictly professional however the more time he spends with Jess he realizes he can’t imagine a future without her and her daughters have taken up residence in his heart as well.
The connections between the friend group were perfection as they are always there for each other to provide both support and humor. Brian was patient and understanding while he shows her that he is nothing like her ex and that he will be there for all his girls.
