Wren has shared a special friendship with Axel that was destined to be so much more until life got in the way. They haven’t had any contact since she left a couple years earlier however when her life implodes she returns to her hometown and the best place to start over is by working for him at his ranch which will mean facing the past and the events that tore them apart.
Even though Axel was hurt by Wren’s departure and that she didn’t give him a thought when she left that doesn’t diminish the feelings he still has for her. Seeing her again it is like they were never apart however they still must deal with the pain in the past as well as the complications in the present.
