Allâs fair in love and Warner.
They say all is fair in love and war. Clearly, they havenât met Warner Landers.
The ruthless billionaire had me begging him to spare my familyâs restaurant from a buyout. In response, he shamelessly flirted and walked away wearing a smug smirk.
Karma strikes, literally, when he crosses the street.
Unconscious, heâs rushed to the hospital, and for some unknown reason, Iâm swept in right after him as if I know this manâor worse, that Iâm married to him.
Am I in too much shock to deny the allegation? Yes.
Am I still using his short-term amnesia to my advantage? Absolutely.
Playing the doting wife to a grumpy CEO wonât be easy, but Iâm determined to save my familyâs livelihood. I just didnât expect him to be a changed man after the accident. Far graver (for me), the iciness between us begins to thaw, and our fake marriage starts to feel real, making it easy to forget my mission.
When his memory begins to return, so does the truth. Weâre at war, and falling for the enemy wasnât part of the plan.

All Delaney wants to do is try to save her familyâs restaurant as Warnerâs company has purchased the building and is evicting all the tenants. Her attempts to convince him go unheeded however when is distracted and hit by a car she finds herself at the hospital with him until his family arrives but the only way to do that is to pretend to be his wife.
Warner is a successful businessman who isnât swayed by emotion. Due to the memory loss he experiences from the accident he canât explain why it doesnât feel right that Delaney is his wife, but he canât refute it as well. The one thing he knows is that the more time he spends with her the more the feelings for her deepen however the mistruths between them are like a volcano that could erupt at any time.
The banter is humorous, the angst is heartfelt and even with everything standing between them the romance is real as these two relatable characters have you wishing that everything will work out once all is revealed. Callie Dalton does a wonderful job allowing you to feel the conflict that Delaney is feeling while Aiden Snow brings out all the aspects of Warnerâs personality that make him so compelling.
