August is the star quarterback who is just starting his rookie season in the NFL. When a less-than-ideal video of him goes viral he needs to change his image and what could be better than a pretend fiancƩ who he has known since they were children.
Penelope is a college student who has recently inherited her grandmotherās house however she canāt afford the property taxes. She has known August since they were kids and has been friends with his siblings and now she is going to get to know August as well.
Both August and Penelope have had feelings for each other for years but neither has acted on it. I enjoyed seeing the heartfelt moments, the humorous banter and the enchanting romance as they finally acknowledged their feelings for each other and the relationship they had for both their families was endearing. The audio performance by Maxine Mitchell and Teddy Hamilton was flawless and I listened to it in one day.
