When Evie moved to Maplewood she had hopes that she would finally have a place to call home away from the people who should have supported and loved her but did anything but. Finding out that she was in labor was unexpected as was seeing that the man who had come to help is also the father of the baby she didn’t know she was having.
Jasper is a firefighter who has lived in Maplewood his entire life. Even though he may not have been looking for a relationship when he finds out that he is a father he is all in. He is determined to show Evie that he is the man that she and their child need one thoughtful act at a time.
This story has it all as Evie and Jasper work through the curveball they have both received which includes emotion, a few surprises, a little suspense as they not only find love but bring out the best in each other.
