After her divorce Lexi is trying to create a new life for her and her son Jonah when her friend suggests that she come work at the resort where they spent time together as teenagers.   It seems like the perfect solution and the only catch is that she will have to face Connor, her first love who broke her heart when he ended their relationship.

Connor is a chef and single father to his daughter Annabeth who has come back to the resort as well.   His biggest regret is giving in to the pressure to end his relationship with Lexi when they were teenagers and that is only reinforced when he sees her again.   He wants a second chance and isn’t about to repeat the mistakes of the past.

I have really enjoyed this group of friends and how close and supportive they are of each other.   Even though Lexi and Connor haven’t been in touch for years the chemistry and connection between them is stronger than ever as they take us on a romantic journey filled with all the feels.  Rebecca Gibel does a wonderful job of giving this story a voice and allows us to feel every heartfelt emotion from humor to heat.
