As the number one quarterback in college football, my only dream is to make it to pro.
My richer-than-sin parents have a different goal.
Their plan is for me to score a trophy wife whose trust fund can hold its own against mine, then join the family empire after graduation. The latter half of that plan means giving up my dream of professional football. The first part means sitting through excruciating dates with girls who already have their wedding vows written.
In an attempt to free myself from one of my perpetual nightmares, I announce that Iโm already in a serious, long-term relationship.
Which is a great excuse to get out of a dateโif it were true.
To save the lie, I talk the intriguing campus black cat, Briar Hart, into pretending to be my girlfriend. She has a prickly heart, and sheโs made it clear that she hates jocks.
But after I offer her something she canโt refuse, weโre suddenly faking our happily-ever-after to everyone.
If Iโm not careful, I may start to believe it too.
๐Review๐
Briar is trying to adjust to the challenges that life has thrown at her which not only forced her to give up her dream but in the aftermath she faces the repercussions on a daily basis. The last thing she thinks she needs is Cassius in her life, but he gives her hope for the future she had given up on and all she must do is pretend they are a couple.
Cassius has dreams for his future, and they donโt include working for the family business and marrying an acceptable woman that is chosen by his parents. He decides the best way to chart his own course is by having his parents believe that he is in a committed relationship and who better than Briar. She needs something from him and there is something about her that makes it difficult to walk away from.
The personalities of Cassius and Briar couldnโt be more different, but they balance each other to perfection. The way they understand and support each other are only a few of the aspects that make their relationship so special.
About the Authors:
S. Massery:
S. Massery is a dark romance author who loves injecting a good dose of suspense into her stories. She lives in Western Massachusetts with her dog, Alice.
Before adventuring into the world of writing, she went to college in Boston and held a wide variety of jobs–including working on a dude ranch in Wyoming (a personal highlight). She has a love affair with coffee and chocolate. When S. Massery isn’t writing, she can be found devouring books, playing outside with her dog, or trying to make people smile.
S.J. Sylvis is an Amazon top 50 and USA Today bestselling author who is best known for her angsty new adult romances. She currently resides in Arizona with her husband, two small kiddos, and dog. She is obsessed with coffee, becomes easily attached to fictional characters, and spends most of her evenings buried in a book!
Brittanee is an author who lives in Rhode Island with her husband and two children. Her town is a character in itself in all of her books.
When she is not writing she enjoys spending time outdoors by the water with her children, reading at the beach or by the pool (or really anywhere), dancing with her friends, singing Karaoke, spinning, bike riding and boating.
Some of her favorite authors are Sophia Kinsella, Elin Hilderbrand, Liane Moriarty, Mary Higgins Clark, Meghan Quinn, Daphne Elliott, Amy Alves, Claire Kingsley, Melanie Harlow, Christina Lauren, Sally Thorne and Sarah Adams. (Clearly, she has a problem and canโt pick favorites.)
I wear my emotions on my tattoo-covered sleeve, I say all the wrong things and I revel in pissing off a certain redhead far more than I should. In other words, Iโm the last person the court would choose to parent any child, let alone three of them.
Yet being their father is all I want.
So when the woman I love to hate offers to help make all my dreams come true, I jump at the chance. Marrying Ava is a convenient solution: sheโs my kids favorite person and the court will absolutely approve of the woman who runs the biggest charity in Boston.
But there is nothing convenient about the way I feel when she fights with me, or when we kiss. And Iโm not sure which I enjoy more.
This marriage may have a time limit but Iโm beginning to think Iโd like to keep my wife. Sheโll probably fight me on it, but as they say, allโs fair in love and war.
๐Review๐ Tyler is a professional hockey player and a single father to three kids that he wants to adopt. He knows that his best chance to ensure that happens is to show he has the stability to look after them with the help of a wife. The last person he expected to agree to become is wife was Ava, the woman he has had feelings for since they first met who wants nothing to do with him.
Ava doesnโt allow many people close but when she does her loyalty and love is unparalleled. Even though she doesnโt have the best opinion of Tyler she wants these kids to have the best life they can even if it includes marriage. The only problem is that the more she gets to know him she realizes that he is nothing like she believed and now her heart could become collateral damage.
Tyler is the perfect mix of sweet and swoony as he shows Ava with everything he does and says how special she is to him. The interactions between them are humorous and hot and when life throws them curveballs they prove they are stronger together than apart.
โจTEASER: SOMETIMES YOU FALL by @harlowjamesauthor is coming January 17th! This will be a simultaneous release in Audio with the amazing narrators Sebastian York and Samantha Brentmoor!
The past never stays buried. From childhood, it was clear that my body was never my own. My mind kept me safe, shielding me from things better left in the dark. I don’t remember life before Cam Axley and I’m not sure I want to. Cam holds the key to whatever is left of my heart. Every piece of me was forged by those who saw me as nothing more than something to use-except him. He calls me his beautiful little psycho. But now, with the truth clawing its way to the surface, Iโm forced to confront the monster I was made to be. Iโm not just a weapon they bred. I am the darkness that was programmed into me. And if Iโm going to survive this wicked game, Iโll have to face my past, even if it means burning the last pieces of light in my soul.ย
Cam:ย
I am the monster I was created to be. The rage is all thatโs left of me, the only thing that keeps the demons at bay. I am the wildcard, the monster hiding in the dark. Lakey Aldrich… sheโs the only one who still sees meโreally sees meโand maybe thatโs why Iโm still here. Together, weโve made it this far, holding each other through this hell. We are bound by the fire that tried to destroy us. There once was a time where we tried for a normal life. But the more I remember, the more I realize thereโs no escape from the person Iโve become. The past isnโt something I can redeem. Itโs the thing that defines me, and itโs coming for me, piece by piece. We’ll be waiting. Our love isn’t soft or gentle. It’s fire and blood. And it’s the screams of everyone who gets in our way.ย
When her nose isnโt buried in a book, or her fingers flying across a keyboard writing, sheโs in the kitchen creating gourmet meals. You can find her, in four inch heels no less, in the car chauffeuring kids, or possibly with her husband scheduling his business trips. Itโs a good thing her characters do what she says, because even her Labrador doesnโt listen to herโฆ
๐งกReview๐งก Harmony has finally found the courage to leave her husband and create a new life for her and son Wyatt however her husband and his powerful are both powerful and wealthy and are making it as difficult for her as she can. She never expected her neighbor to come to her rescue when her husband shows up at her door or that he would be willing to give her the fresh start she needs.
Due to a tragedy six years earlier, Brady wants nothing to do with Wyatt due to the damage that they inflicted not only on his family but the town as well. When he sees Harmony and Wyatt struggling he canโt stand by and is willing to take on the man he despises to be with the woman and child who have captured his heart.
With the support of Brady I enjoyed seeing Harmony find the love and happiness that she and Wyatt deserved as she has been through so much to get to this point. Gregory Salina was the perfect choice as brings out the protector in Brady while Savannah Peachwood brings out the strength and independence of Harmony.
He watched Kasi swallow heavily, watched her blink back tears, never shedding a single one.
Leviโs heart broke and came to life simultaneously as he reached out, gripped her upper arms, and pulled her toward him.
Kasi stood stiffly, her hands balled in fists against his chest, as he ran his hands up and down her back, slowly rocking her. It only took a moment for her hands to open, pressing flat against his chest, leaving him to wonder if she was going to push him away.
Levi didnโt loosen his grip, but he didnโt tighten it either.
A full minute passed before her shoulders sagged and her body gave way. She wrapped her arms around his middle, pressed her cheek to his chest, and just held on.
Levi knew in an instant that he would hold her like this for the rest of her life if that was what she needed. It was a heavy, misplaced, strange thought, but it was the truest, most real thing heโd ever felt.
She was shorter than him, most people were, the top of her head brushing his chin. He bent lower, placing a soft kiss to her hair, loving the way her hold on him tightened in response.
And between one beat of his heart and the next, Levi fell.
She was his.
Kasi Mills was his.
And just like that, his entire world clicked into place.

๐๐ง๐๐ ๐๐ฉ๐จ๐ง ๐ ๐ ๐๐ค๐ ๐๐๐ญ๐ (Castleton University Book 2) by Jennifer Chipman releases on January 10th, 2025! Check out this teaser!
All my life, Iโd been dreaming of two things: shining in the spotlight on stage and falling in love. When I landed the lead part in the spring musical junior year, it felt like everything was falling into place. Especially when my childhood best friend came waltzing back into my life. Only, heโd gone from a scrawny pre-teen to a handsome athlete, and it was hard to take my eyes off of him.
Especially when he ended up as my co-lead for the musical. But our friendship meant too much to me to risk. I wasnโt sure my heart could survive losing him again.
Parker
Transferring to Castleton University for my senior year was my chance to start over and focus on lacrosse and getting my degree. What I didnโt expect when my teammates dragged me to a party was finding the girl of my dreams… also known as my childhood best friend.
I was supposed to be focusing on lacrosse. Not volunteering to be the lead in the musical with her. Or fake dating her.
Except for when I saw her in my jersey, smiling just for me, I had a hard time remembering why this was supposed to be fake.
Which was why I intended to prove that I was the happy ending sheโd always dreamed of.
They think my greatest gift is my ability on the ice. But theyโre wrong.
Iโve been hailed as the guy who has it all when it comes to hockey. Powerful people have invested their time and money, determined to turn my potential into their reality.
The most influential of those people? Graham Jenkinsโformer NHL player and the General Manager of the Dallas Destroyers. The second he set eyes on me in the little leagues, he piled all his resources into my success. And when the Destroyers were awarded the first-round draft pick, he didnโt hesitate to snap me up.
He thought I was the golden boy, the star that would make his team as successful as his playing career. Only I wasnโt. Instead of unleashing my potential in front of the goal, he discovered my real talentโsecrets.
And I have many that I will never share. One for every scar disguised beneath the tattoos painting my body, along with the childhood memories either buried deep inside my broken mind or drowned out by empty bottles lining my kitchen counter.
Thereโs only one secret I wish I didnโt have to keep. Sheโs also the addiction I know Iโll never kick. A detox my heart could never survive since it only beats for her. And even years after we were torn apart, my fixation hasnโt changed. Although neither have our circumstancesโIโm still the broken boy, suffocated with trauma. And sheโs still Mia Jenkins, the good girl, and daughter of the man who offered me everything except his blessing to date her.
But one thing about addiction? It never seeks permission.
TW include: Abusive parents, domestic violence, substance abuse, off page child loss (not involving the main characters) mental health rep namely PTSD, off page discussion of self harm.
I keep my voice slow and deliberate when I ask, โWhy is there a baby in the locker room?โ
The far side of the circle parts, and Ronan McCabe sits at his locker stall, bent over and lacing up his skates. His head snaps up, and he uses one hand to brush back the tendrils of dark hair that have fallen across his forehead.
When our eyes meet, he doesnโt look anything like the angry, annoyed man I normally see. He looks more like the college kid I drafted back in St. Louisโthe kid with bright green eyes and a cocky smirk, who walked onto his D1 hockey team and ended up getting drafted to the pros his junior yearโthan the pro-hockey player whoโs spent the past eight years hating me.
He looks . . . lost.
As he bites his lower lip, I canโt take my eyes off him, and I canโt stop wishing he hadnโt just done that. I donโt want to notice that full lip or the row of perfectly straight teeth sinking into it. I donโt want to notice the way his eyes heat when he looks at me, or the way they sweep from my face down my body and back up again so quickly Iโm not sure it actually happened. Because Ronan McCabe hasnโt looked at me with this lost puppy dog look in a very long time, and the last time he did, it ruined my marriage and almost ruined his career.
What to expect:
๐ Enemies to lovers
๐ Single dad
๐ Reverse age gap
๐ Forced proximity
๐ Workplace romance
๐ Sheโs his boss
Blurb:
Some people might call it a grudge, but in reality, hating Alessandra Jones is more like an obsession.
AJ is the leagueโs first female general manager, and my boss. As the team captain, I have to play nice with herโin public, at least.
But in private, the gloves come off. And then one time, our clothes do too.
We vow it wonโt happen again.
Not only can we not stand each other, but weโre in tense negotiations over my contract right now, and AJ is up for the leagueโs GM of the Year award. Getting involved wouldnโt just be a PR nightmareโit would be unethical.
It doesnโt help that we have a history, or that she and my daughter adore each other. When AJ is injured protecting my baby, thereโs no choice but to move her into my place.
Taking care of someone I hate shouldnโt feel so right. Getting to know her better shouldnโt break down my defenses. Sheโs hurt me once before, and Iโd be a fool to trust her again.
But the more time we spend together, the more I realize that maybe Iโm not obsessed with hating her . . . maybe Iโm just obsessed with her.

๐ฅReview๐ฅ
The challenges of their every action being filmed continues to escalate for the MC.ย ย Fallon has taken refuge within the club to keep her safe however when the director turns out to be her ex they decide the best choice is for her and Compass to pretend they are in a relationship.
Compass is the VP who has been directed by the President to pretend to be in a relationship with Fallon.ย ย Even though it isnโt something he is happy about the idea sounds good in theory but developing feelings for each other wasnโt part of the plan.
The interactions between them are humorous as Fallon challenges Compass at every turn, a little suspense and the conversations between the members of the MC show how close they are.
