Lorelai Anderson got under my skin years ago and I’d never been able to get her out.
When I found out she had a crush on me I turned into the biggest dick around. I did what I did to keep her away. I knew I wasn’t the man she needed, and her brother agreed.
Then I left town to play hockey which was both a blessing and a curse.

I figure it’s helping her out but for me it’s the perfect opportunity to convince her I’m not the same guy I used to be.

A few years later she finds out that he is her seatmate on the flight to her brother’s destination wedding but that is only the beginning when he suggests they pretend to be a couple so that her ex will stop trying to convince her to give him a second chance.
Knox regrets that he didn’t act on his feelings for Lorelai when it happened and, in the time since. He wants a second change and is willing to take what she will give him which is a pretend relationship until he can convince her that it is very real.
