Shattered by the loss of his wife, Callum Reed is a man surrounded by rules designed to protect him. He has found the perfect submissive in Gaby Sullivan, until she breaks his cardinal rule.
After three years of perfect obedience, Gaby declares she wants love. Love isnโt in their contract, so Cal lets her go. But Gaby has a secret reason for leaving. When Cal discovers the truth, nothing will stop him from following her. On a secluded island paradise, Callum will do anything to prove heโs the perfect Master for his defiant, loving sub.
๐งReview๐ง After his wife passed away Cal closed himself off to love however from the moment that he met Gaby he couldnโt deny his feelings for her. For the last three years he has been happy with the relationship they share but when she wants more he isnโt willing to give it so she walks out of his life.
Gaby loves Cal with her whole heart, but she needs more and has come to the sad conclusion that he will never feel the same way. She makes the decision to leave, and it will be ten months before she sees him again which doesnโt end well. He is now determined to fight for a second chance but the events of what happened when they were apart continues to cast a shadow on their second chance.
This story packs an emotional punch that I wasnโt expecting. The love that Cal and Gaby have for each other is apparent, even if Cal hasnโt yet acknowledged it, and the strength and resilience of Gaby was inspiring. The audio performance of Sebastian York was fantastic as he brought out the heat, emotion and insecurities of both these characters.
What do you do when snowed in alone with an arrogant flirt?
Don’t walk in on him in the shower. Too late. I can’t look away, and Noah loves the attention. But it doesn’t mean anythingโฆHe’s the guy who never goes home alone, and I’m the shy book nerd whose idea of a good time is staying late at the library and binging on red licorice.
Noah thinks I’m so forgettable that he can’t remember my name, even though we share the same group of friends. So when the roads clear and our mutual friends finally turn up, including Ericโthe sweet guy who wants to be more than friendsโI’m determined to forget about water dripping off muscles and fists wrapped around…
But now Noah’s acting differently. Sitting close to me, touching me, calling me by my actual nameโฆIt’s almost like he’s jealous, but that’s ridiculous.
Except, I swear the bathroom door was unlocked before I walked in. Noah didn’t leave it open on purpose…or did he?

When Sophie heads to the cabin to spend some time with her friends she never expected that a snowstorm would result in them being delayed. When she arrives, she expects to be alone and is surprised to find that Noah, the last person she wanted to spend time with would be there as well and that they would be stranded together.
Noah knows that due to the past Sophie believes she knows who he is but she couldnโt be more wrong. When they find themselves forced to spend time together the chemistry between them ignites but will they be able to work through the misunderstandings of the past?
I enjoyed seeing Sophie and Noah realize that the animosity between them was something very different and the chemistry between them was intense. Five years ago, I did the one thing I promised myself I’d never do.
I fell for a hockey player.
But the timing hadn’t been right. We were young–I had a scholarship for a college in the US and Dane “Ax” Axelrod was heading toward the pros. In the end, we agreed to part on mutual terms and not stay in touch. It just made sense. But that didn’t mean I wasn’t damn proud of him when he got drafted.
Which is why I never told him I was pregnant with his baby.
Now I’ve just finished my degree and landed my new job with the Vancouver Vikings. It means moving to a new city and, after having the daily support of my family, parenting my daughter fully on my own for the first time.
Of course, I knew Dane played for the Vikings, but as a lowly junior analyst, I figured I’d never run into him. Even if I did, he’d never remember who I am. After all, rumor was he’d been with hundreds of girls since then.
Wrong. I managed to run into him first thing, and surprisingly, he does remember me.
Which is a major complication.
Especially when Dane meets my daughter, who just happens to be his spitting image.
I’ve tried keeping Lennon’s identity under wraps and never sought out Dane’s parental involvement, but Ax is no fool. He quickly figures out Lenni’s his daughter and wants to get to know her. But I know what an NHL player’s life is like.
Now I’m in the middle of a tricky situation–am I trying to protect my daughter from a man who may not be around much for her?
Or am I just protecting my own heart from falling for him once again?
๐Review๐ Five years earlier Hallie shared an unforgettable romance with Dane however their futures were destined for different paths as she was going off to college, and he was headed to play hockey professionally. It is for that reason that she chose not to tell him about their daughter Lennon however their worlds are about to clash when she is hired to work for the team that he plays for.
Dane has a reputation as a player both on and off the ice but he has never forgotten Hallie or the time they spent together. Seeing her again brings up all those buried feelings and finding out that he is a father only makes them stronger. He is determined to forge a relationship not only with his daughter but with Hallie as well.
Dane is sensitive and understanding when he finds out about Lennon and with everything he does and says he shows that he is father their daughter needs and the man that Hallie needs and it is finally their time.

“What happened to your business deal? Did you manage to turn it around?โ
Iโd almost forgotten that I even told her about it. โNo. I even shared everything with my brothers this morning in our business meeting.โ
โYou work with your brothers?โ
โSort of. We own Sterling Investments.โ
โOh, I think Iโve heard of it.โ She didnโt sound stunned, or in awe, like people usually were when they made the connection. It was refreshing.
โWe each own separate businesses, but on Mondays, we meet to brainstorm. None of them had any ideas I could actually use. They just fooled around, talking bullshit.โ
โMeaning?โ she asked.
I hesitated, but why not tell her? We could laugh about it. She certainly seemed to need that distraction.
I couldnโt believe Iโd just called this stranger out of nowhere and that I was willing to share things with her.
โWhen I told them that one of the reasons he shot me down was because I had a reputation as a womanizerโโ
โOh. That would explain a few things,โ she muttered.
โWhat things?โ I asked.
โNever mind. Go on.โ
Hmmโฆ โAnyway, one thing led to another, and I told them that I ran into you.โ
โWow, I feel so good now. Worthy of being mentioned in a business meeting.โ
โOne of them suggested that I could present you to Jude as my girlfriend.โ
She started laughing. โYour brothers have a fantastic imagination. It wouldnโt be such a bad idea,โ she said, then rushed to add, โFor business reasons, of course.โ
For a second, I was certain that Iโd misheard her. My intention was just to make her laugh, but now she had me thinking.
โWait, what? Are you serious?โ
โYou did save my butt. I guess it could be a โyou scratch my back, I scratch yoursโ situation.โ
I rose from my chair, adrenaline coursing through my body the way it did when I was on the verge of sealing a very important deal.
โI havenโt seriously considered this until now,โ I confessed. Though that wasnโt strictly true, because from the second my brothers mentioned it, the idea had percolated in my mind. But Phoebe didnโt need to know that. โAre you sure?โ I double-checked. It was a dangerous idea, and not at all my style. I hated lying and pretending. And yet, pretending to date Phoebe didnโt feel wrong.
This is insane.
โHonestly, no. Iโm just figuring things out. But you would just need me to go with you to a dinner or something, right?โ
โYes.โ
She laughed. โI canโt believe youโd put a deal in the hands of a stranger.โ
That was the insane thing. She didnโt really feel like a stranger, though I couldnโt explain why.
โThe way I see it, as things stand right now, I wouldnโt have a chance in hell to make the deal otherwise. I could probably find some arguments to convince him, but somehow I prefer showing up with a smoking-hot date on my arm, pretending sheโs my girlfriend.โ
I heard her suck in a breath at that. But it was 100 percent true.
โSure, why not?โ
Blurb:
I donโt give a damn what people say about me. Iโm successful and confidentโone of San Diegoโs youngest CEOs. But when my womanizer rep costs me a major business deal, Iโve got a problem.
One of my brothers suggests a fake girlfriend. Ridiculous.
Then I spot the perfect opportunity.
At a bar, I overhear a stunning blonde getting utterly humiliated by her exโwho casually informs her he dumped her to marry someone else. What an idiot.
She looks like she needs rescuing. So I sit at their table and kiss her like Iโve done it a million times. After the jerk bails, I make her a deal: be my fake date for one business dinner.
Phoebe agrees.
It shouldโve been simple, but the dinner turns into a weekend at a beach house. One bedroom. Too much wine. One unforgettable night.
The next morning, she tries to pretend it didnโt happen.
Phoebe is nothing like the women I usually date. Sheโs hardworking, has a sharp sense of humor, and sheโs the most selfless person Iโve met. Thatโs why I want more.
I just have to prove that thereโs more to me than she thinks. Iโm close to my family. I spoil my nephew. Iโm ready to change.
Phoebe is still hurting and wants to play it safe. But I wonโt give up. Because this fake relationship is starting to feel very real.

A small-town writer. A secret-keeping lawyer. One dangerously hot collaboration.
Addison According to my MFA in Creative Writing, I should be writing the next great novel. When I put pen to paper, though, all my words are about romance and love. Our โresearchโ starts innocent enoughโuntil his lips rewrite every rule Iโve made about love.
