Narrated by: Charlotte North & Austin Stone
Releasing: August 27, 2024
A scorching hot, brother’s-best-friend, bad-boy/good-girl, fake-marriage standalone romance in the small-town Harbour Village series!
I’ve been pining for Abel Miller since we were teenagers. He’s sexy as hell and has always played a starring role in all my fantasies. Too bad he only sees me as his best friend’s little sister.
He’s also a broody playboy who takes home a new girl every night, while I’m looking to find forever with someone. Abel and I couldn’t be more different.
When my dad gets sick and says he just wants to see me safe, settled, and happily in love, Abel shocks me by offering to pretend to be my husband.
Now, I’m living with the man of my dreams in his luxe bachelor pad as his fake wife. Plot twist: it only has one bed. Which isn’t a problem, until he accidentally walks in on me naked and I wind up bent over the couch with him on his knees between my legs.
Turns out my feelings weren’t so one-sided after all. But Abel swears he’s too much of a bad boy for the type of relationship I’m looking for, and warns me not to fall in love with him.
Can I convince him he’s always been the one for me? Or am I just headed for heartbreak by wishing we had forever?
I Wish We Had Forever is book three in the Harbour Village series of interconnected standalones.
Jessica Peterson writes romance with heat, humor, and heart. Heroes with hot accents are her specialty. When she’s not writing, she can be found bellying up to a bar in the south’s best restaurants with her husband Ben, reading books with her adorable daughter Gracie, or snuggling up with her 70-pound lap dog, Martha.
A Carolina girl at heart, she fantasizes about splitting her time between Charleston and Asheville, but currently lives in Charlotte, NC.
The tattoo across my right hip says it all really. A Life Less Ordinary. Inked by the amazingly talented Luke Wessman at the Wooster Street Social Club (a.k.a. New York Ink). Why is it important? Well, it sums up my view on life. That we should all aspire to live a life that is less boring, less predictable. Be bold, and do something amazing. I’ve made some crazy choices. I’ve been a car maker, a consultant, and even a senior executive at a large retailer running strategy. Born in England, spent time in the U.S. and Japan, before ending up in Canada where I met my own, personal hero – all six and a half feet of him. Both of us are scorpios! Yeah, I know! Should have checked the astrological signs earlier, but somehow it works for us. We have two amazing kids, who I either could never part with or could easily be convinced to sell on e-bay
I’ve wanted to be a writer for a really long time. Check through my office cupboards or my computer and you’ll find half written stories and character descriptions everywhere. Now I’m getting the chance to follow that dream.

They don’t go to the brick wall. No one in the village does. Ever since I was a little girl, everyone has warned me not to go or even to look at it. And if you happen to find yourself close to the wall, run as fast and as far away as you can. The magic from the beast creeps beyond the wall, but not by much.
No one who values their life approaches the enchanted area, let alone searches out the gate. Everyone is sure not to provoke the enchanted area. Those who do, don’t come back to tell their tales.
The magic is dark. And it’s all from the beast.
FOR THE LAST 19 YEARS OF MY LIFE, I’ve heard the tales and been warned to stay away. The thing is though, I’m not a very good listener. I got lost in the magic. He scented me. He claimed me with a bite on my neck. And I ran. Quickly and with a new terror racing in my heart.
I swore I would never return. I would not trust the magic and allow it to entrance me again. I would not risk being caught in the hands of the Beast again.
But that was months ago and I miss the magic. Not only that, but I dream of the beast. It’s not a dream I’d admit to out loud, but it’s a dream I’d like to see come true.
I started writing after having my little girl, Evie, December of 2015. All during my pregnancy with her I read. I only wanted to read romance novels and I read everything I could get my hands on. I would read a book a day — sometimes two. In January I was staying up late with her and just thinking of all these stories. They came to me constantly. I finally sat down and just started writing. I always wanted to do it so I figured, why not?
I never thought I would reach this point of success to be honest. It’s insane to me that I have connected with so many readers.
And I love each and every one of them for all of their support. I’ll be honest, some days are HARD. I have my littles during the day and I write at night. Some days are just simply exhausting and then I hear from a reader and it motivates me to push through and keep writing. I couldn’t be more grateful for this wonderful career. The Substitute, a Single in Seattle novella from New York Times bestselling author Kristen Proby & 1001 Dark Nights is now live!
Derek Langley can’t keep an assistant to save his life. He’s grumpy, demanding, and sometimes mean, which mirrors his reputation in court. Derek doesn’t have time to coddle an employee, so when the temp agency informs him their next placement will be the last, he knows he’s doomed.
Maya Sterling is excited to move to Seattle. She wants to be closer to her siblings and her new friends, and a position with a temp agency fits the bill for her new life in the city. She doesn’t plan on walking in and finding a sexy British grouch for a boss, but his gruff nature doesn’t really bother her. In fact, she’s attracted to his rough-around-the-edges nature.
They quickly realize the attraction is mutual and steam up the office. But Maya’s position with Derek is temporary, and she knows she must maintain a professional distance to preserve her sanity.
Will they be able to resist each other? Or does fate have other plans?
“So, why does Gray think your boss is a jerk?” Liv asks me as we walk into the department store. “I don’t think he’s a jerk, but I’ve only known him for a week.” Sidney scowls at me. “Why would Gray think that, then?” “I guess Derek has a reputation for being hard to work for.” I shrug and hold up a navy-blue dress, but Stella takes it out of my hands and puts it back on the rack. “That’s for someone in their sixties,” she informs me, shaking her head. “Thanks. Anyway, I admit Derek can be abrupt and short, but he doesn’t bother me. At least not so far.” I glance over at Liv, who’s watching me. “What?” “I’m telling you, you like him,” she says, narrowing her eyes. “Look—” “He doesn’t just not bother you. You’re hot for him.” “Is he attractive?” Sidney asks, reaching for her phone. “Hell, I’ll google him. What’s his name?” “Derek Langley,” I reply and bite my lip. This is fun. And a little nerve-racking. “He’s British. So, he does have a sexy accent.” “Oh,” Sid says, turning the phone so the others can see. “Yeah, he’s fucking attractive.” “Hot,” Stella agrees. “Dang, Maya, you should go for it. Wait, is he married?” “He doesn’t wear a ring.” I consider that, tapping my finger on my chin. “Of course, not everyone does. I don’t think he’s married.” “I can’t find any evidence of a wife,” Sidney says, tapping on her phone some more. “Unless it’s recent.” “He’s my boss,” I reply, shaking my head. “Sure, there’s some chemistry there, but I work for him. I don’t think that’s ethical.” I’ve caught him looking at my lips several times, and when we stand close together, he shoves his hands in his pockets as if he’s restraining himself to keep from touching me. But maybe that’s all just in my head. “You said yourself it’s only a thirty-day assignment,” Liv says, waving me off. “I say take those thirty days and have fun with them.” “We’re going straight to the lingerie department,” Stella decides. “You guys.” I laugh but don’t stop them from pulling me to the intimates section, where they choose lots of lacy, silky, beautiful things for me to try. “What if I’m being silly, and he wants no part in anything sexy with me?” “Number one, he’d be stupid,” Sid says. “And number two, if he’s not interested, someone else will be.” “You have a point. Okay, let’s do this.”
🌸Review🌸
Maya isn’t certain what the future holds so in the interim she has moved to Seattle where she is surrounded by friends and family. She is working as a temp when she is assigned to work for Derek whose reputation for being a difficult boss precedes him.
Derek holds everyone in his life at a distance and is demanding and abrupt when it comes to staff who he doesn’t believe are performing their job properly. He doesn’t react well when they cross the line from personal to professional and now he has some amends to make.
There is no denying the chemistry between them, and she doesn’t hesitate to stand up to him when required. It was wonderful to see where their lives where seven years in the future

🔥 𝐄𝐗𝐂𝐄𝐑𝐏𝐓 𝐁𝐋𝐀𝐒𝐓 ➜ Iron Rations (Owens Protective Services Book 21) by Giulia Lagomarsino is releasing on August 26th! 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗢𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿 ➜ https://mybook.to/IronRations
📕 𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐃 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐄𝐗𝐂𝐄𝐑𝐏𝐓 📕 “Nick! Get off your ass and help me.” I struggled to my knees and grabbed Hugo just as he fell when Patrick released the carabiner. “Yeah, it’s me that’s not pulling his weight.” “Complain about it later. We have work to do.” I hauled him over to the rolling luggage and stuffed him inside, hoping I wasn’t squishing him too badly. Not that I cared all that much. He was a bad guy. I was just zipping it closed when I heard a thunk behind me and spun around. A figure dressed in all black had taken out Patrick from behind. I pulled my gun, but it was kicked out of my hand. The figure spun in this wild maneuver before a foot connected with my chest. I stumbled back, tripping over the luggage and falling to the ground. I jumped to my feet, tackling the guy just as he was reaching into the luggage. I tackled him from behind, but was surprised when I felt breasts. “You’re a woman?” She heaved, kicking me off her, using my surprise against me. I stumbled over Patrick just as he was getting to his feet. The woman pulled out a gun, firing at me just as I dove, taking Patrick with me. The bullet skimmed my arm, taking a small piece of skin with it. I hissed, rolling off Patrick as I jumped to my feet and ran hard at the woman, yanking the mask from her face. Green eyes stared back at me, tempting me with intrigue and deception. I was so focused on those beautiful orbs that I forgot for just a second that I was supposed to be stopping her. She kneed me in the balls, making me gasp, bending over in shock. “You didn’t have to do that,” I wheezed. “You were stopping me.” “Ever heard of asking politely?” I cringed. She bent over, placing her lips right next to my ear just as I heard the snap of metal around my wrist. “Please, stay here.” Then she licked the shell of my ear and was gone. I stood but realized all too late that she’d locked me to a metal pipe attached to the wall. I jerked my hand as she opened the luggage and rifled through the man’s suit. After pulling out what looked like a business card, she straightened the man’s shirt, then fixed his tie, spending an inordinate amount of time making sure it was perfectly straight. Then she pulled his suit jacket closed and buttoned it up. With a grin, she looked back at me, winking as she turned and ran for the rooftop access. Her dark ponytail swung behind her as she disappeared through the door. “What the hell is going on up there?” Chase shouted. I glanced over at Patrick laying on his back. “Man down.”
Everly Plum is delighted to be heading up the Bridesmaid for Hire program at Magical Moments by Maggie. And when Hardy Hopper, one of their billionaire investors, approaches Everly for help with his friends’ wedding, she’s more than happy to step in. But Hardy has an extra assignment for her: his ex-girlfriend will be the maid of honor opposite his role as best man, and he wants Everly’s help getting her back.
There’s only one problem: Everly may have a tiny crush on the dashing businessman. But despite the way Hardy makes her stomach flutter, she’s determined to prove herself, both as a bridesmaid and as a matchmaker. That is, until she finds her crush turning into real feelings. Not to mention, Hardy can’t help but notice how well he clicks with Everly, and before he knows it, he’s not looking for his ex’s attention anymore.
But even after their simmering attraction finally rises to the surface, they will have to contend with meddling friends, poor timing, and professional boundaries—and the risk that no one might get a second chance after all.
“I’ve never had just pineapple, it’s always accompanied by ham or pepperoni, but I’m not opposed to this. It’s sweet, and the side of barbeque sauce is a nice surprise.”
“Good, right?” Hardy asks, waggling his brows.
“I would say more along the lines of interesting.”
“Hey, I’ll take it,” he says with a smile. “Maple never liked pineapple on pizza.”
Which makes me a better fit for Hardy than she is, but we’re not going to mention that or make this a competition because Maple is actually really sweet.
But just for my own personal record and satisfaction…ha, Maple, I can share a pizza with Hardy, and you can’t.
Okay, pettiness is over.
“Shame,” I say. “Because it’s good. The dipping sauce I’m still adjusting to.”
“Hang out with me some more and I’ll win you over.” He winks.
Boy, you have already won me over.
You won me over months ago.
After he swallows and takes a sip of his drink, he says, “So, tell me about your day.”
“Pretty sure you know about my day,” I say.
“Yeah, but you’re not eating dinner alone tonight, so act like I don’t know anything about what happened today.”
Well…that makes my heart nearly beat out of my chest as I look into his perfectly blue eyes. With comments like that, he’s making it next to impossible for me to even think about anyone else but him.

This story was so much fun. The situations they found themselves in were humorous, the banter was witty, the romance was heartwarming, and his friends and family were there when things became a little tumultuous. The performance of the narrators made this wonderful story even better as you could empathize with what the characters were experiencing from their insecurities to their love.

𝐑𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬by Hannah Gray releasing August 29th!!! This is Hudson and Briar’s story and is a spinoff from the Puck Boys of Brooks University series. Check out this teaser!
The first time I saw Briar James, I knew she was trouble. Maybe not as far as everyone else was concerned. But for me, she was a red-hot flag that I needed to avoid at all costs. But that wasn’t an option. After all, I was hired to be her security guard. And when she looked like an angel with a voice as sweet as syrup and the body of a temptress… the job went from hard to mission impossible.
I’ve always made myself indifferent to other people’s problems. I’ve done my job and turned a blind eye when need be. But when it came to her, for the first time in my life, I couldn’t look away. But it becomes pretty clear that she’s not nearly as helpless as she’s led on.
I’m about to learn that Briar James backs down to no one. Including me. And that I can either fight alongside her or lose her altogether. And the latter? Yeah. Not an option.
Bonnie and Clyde fought together, and they both wound up dead. The question is…will that be me and my sweet Dove’s fate too?
Briar
Hudson never looked at me when he walked into a room. Instead, he’d act like I wasn’t there at all. But I knew he saw me. I just never realized how much until the night he saved my life and kissed me in the dark. And even though my uncle was forcing me to marry another man, my heart didn’t beat the same after that night.
He called me Dove because he saw me as a helpless, pathetic girl who did as she was told. He thought I was weak. Blind to my surroundings. Obedient.
He couldn’t have been more wrong.
I’ve always heard that true love has no limits. I just never realized how true that was.

A steamy, forbidden one-night stand, ex’s sister, football romance from USA Today Best-seller
MJ Fields
Before starting my NFL career, I flew into the city closest to the town I’d call home. I booked a room, went out to grab a bite, and ended up talking football with the locals, who had no clue who I was. Oh yeah, and I had a few too many drinks.
As the night wore on, everything became a little bit blurry. Deciding to use the men’s room before grabbing a ride back to the hotel to catch some ZZZs, the door to the stall behind me swung open and a chick with an SU ball cap on, barely containing her wild, dark locks, stepped out, glanced down at my junk, and said, “That will work.”
My response? “You sure about that?”
It worked. Of course, it worked. I’ve never had a problem making it … work.
Even after finding out she was related to the owners of the New York Knights, there wasn’t a problem. We agreed it was no big deal. I didn’t even take offense to what that could have meant south of the border, either.
The problem arose when I met her sister.
They look alike, but they couldn’t be any different. And no, it’s not what you’re thinking. I don’t have a sisters fantasy or some sick shit like that, and I’ve never been, and never will be, the guy who falls in love. My heart just doesn’t work that way.
The minute I met her fiancé, I knew he wasn’t the kind of guy who deserves to marry a girl like Riley Mae Brooks. Everyone around her knows it, too, but they’re not doing a damn thing to stop it. So, why do I feel like I have to?
