Man Splain 🌲 Release Blitz

In Hunter Valley, it’s open season on men.

Man Splain by Vanessa Vale is now live!

I’m a billionaire CEO. An expert fixer. I just found my next fix…

It’s literally my job to make sure everything goes to plan. I’m really f-ing good at it.

But when the beautiful coffee shop owner refuses a corporate loan to keep her business afloat solely because we had a slightly-drunk quickie, it makes me crazy. Insane. Frustrated. Turned on. Especially when I discover the stubborn woman chooses instead to be a cam girl to pay her bills. Of course, I step in, because:

1. I need to make this right.

2. There’s no way another man is going to glimpse one gorgeous inch of her.

3. It’s my fault.

I buy up all her cam time. Problem solved.

Except this is a plan I didn’t think through. Eve doesn’t know she’s falling for the same guy on and off the screen.

What happens when she learns the truth?

All I know is this may be the one problem I can’t fix.

🌲Review🌲
All Eve wants is to grow her business and not have her decisions being managed by the men in her life who think they know best. A steamy encounter with a sexy stranger turns complicated when unbeknown to her he happens to be the man she is approaching for a loan. Wanting no part of the situation she sets up an alternate way to finance her business and that is when the fun really begins.

Silas is a successful businessman who is used to making decisions. From his first meeting with Eve he knows that she is special and he isn’t about to be thwarted by her determination to not muddy the waters between personal and professional and isn’t above a little subterfuge to ensure that happens.

The chemistry between them is electric and their banter is entertaining as they prove to be a perfect match in every way.

Author: Jami Rogers

Genre: Contemporary Romance

About The Write Choice:

Author Jami Rogers continues the Lust or Bust series with another steamy, enemies to lovers romantic comedy. Living with the one woman who can’t stand you is bound to make a great story!

I have the career, the house, the family, the friends, but not the girl. The one. The woman to spend my life with. As a romance writer, I’m as cliché as it gets. I love love. I want to be in love. I want to experience everything that comes with it: heartbreak, happiness, fighting, you name it.

I want it all.

What I didn’t want, however, was to get married in Vegas on a whim.

To a woman I can’t stand.

To a woman I can’t stop thinking about.

I know, I know, that doesn’t even make sense.

Trust me, I know. Here’s the kicker. She’s just as stubborn as I am and failure is not a word either of us has in our vocabulary. How far are we going to go till we each get the outcome we want in the end? Life, love—both are on the line.

At some point, there’s no coming back, and what happens then? How much do I lose?

I’m about to find out.

You’re So Extra 🎬 Available Now

Does it count as cruel and unusual punishment if you’re forced to be an extra with your enemy?

You’re So Extra, an all-new enemies-to-lovers, forced-proximity, romantic comedy with a hint of suspense and the first standalone book in the Finding You Series from USA Today bestselling author Angela Casella is available now!

Does it count as cruel and unusual punishment if you’re forced to be an extra with your enemy?

Lucas

I figured being a movie extra would be a harmless distraction—a way for me to forget that my life is imploding and I’m the one who pulled the trigger. But it turns out ninety percent of being an extra is sitting around, so I have nothing to do but dwell.

Worse, I have to spend every last minute on set with a woman who’s connected to the incident that sent my life off course. I’m determined to help her, thereby evening the scales of justice imbalanced by my parents, but Delia Evans is so sunshiney and naïve and…

Well, extra.

And, to my utter astonishment, I find myself wanting more of her.

***

Delia

It seemed like fate when I got hired to be in this movie. My high school crush is the lead actor, and judging by the number of times my mother has accused me of being dramatic, I’m a natural actress.

Only it turns out my former crush is a jerk, being an extra is shockingly boring, and I’m paired with a man whose last name ensures he’s my enemy. Lucas Burke is gorgeous, but even if he weren’t a Burke, I could never fall for such a conceited know-it-all.

Or at least that’s what I think until accidents start happening on set…

She abruptly pulls her legs out of the slats and turns toward me, cross-legged. I do the same. “Lucas, I haven’t asked you how much money is in your bank account. I don’t want to know, honestly. So why the sudden interest in mine?”

Because I want to know you’re taken care of.

Because I care about you, and this is the only way I know how to show it.

Because I can’t help myself.

“I’m good at this sort of thing,”I say defensively. “Business. I thought maybe I could help you with a business plan.”

“Are you trying to help, or are you hoping you can make my jobs into something that feels more acceptable?”

It hits me with alarm that her eyes are shiny. I’ve fucked this up and said it all wrong.

“It’s not that,” I say, reaching for her but not forcing it on her. It’s a soul-deep relief when she lets me put my hand on her knee. “I don’t want to change you or for you do to anything other than what you do. I do want to punch whoever the hell made you feel unimpressive.”

“Even if one of the people who did it was my mother?”

“I wouldn’t even hit my mother. And I trust her so much that I’m hiring a private investigator to keep an eye on her and my father.”

I’m meeting with him tomorrow morning. I made the appointment right after leaving set. I felt weird doing it, like I was being some kind of alarmist, but he didn’t seem thrown or particularly surprised. Then again, Shane says the guy’s in his sixties or maybe seventies and has been doing this since he retired from the police force. He’s seen decades’ worth of the shit people do to each other. I’m guessing nothing would faze him.

“Really?” Delia seems alarmed, and I don’t want that, so I take her hand, trace the lines on her palm.

“Nothing to worry about. It’s a precaution. But this guy comes highly recommended. We were talking about your mother, though. I can throw a pretty good word punch. You tell me where and when, and I’ll be all over it.”

“Okay,” she says, softly, but her eyes are still shining with tears.

“I didn’t mean it like that, Delia. I swear. But my background is in business. Business plans are what I do. I’m going to make one for my business with Leonard. I helped Drew and Danny make one for launching their game. I—”

She leans in and kisses me, and I feel like a real piece of shit when I notice her lips are wet from fallen tears.

When she pulls back, she says, “I’m sorry.”

“You’re sorry?” I blurt, shocked. “I’m the one who’s sorry. I didn’t want to ruin everything. Tonight has been…This is the best night I can remember having in a long, long time.”

Maybe ever, but I don’t want to scare her. Thinking that, I’m scaring myself. But it’s a fear that’s edged with hope.

“You didn’t ruin anything. You’re right. It’s just…” She tucks hair behind her ear. “Nat was the one who was good at that sort of thing. We were supposed to do this together, and I wouldn’t be such a hot mess if she was part of the business. Mira tries to help, but it’s hard to accept help from her because she’s the one who’s always had it all together. My mother already thinks I’m worthless.”

Her words stab into me. Because here again is the butterfly effect of being an asshole, of taking what you want without caring about other people. My parents did that, and other people are still hurting because of it. Delia is hurting because of it.

I didn’t realize I was hanging my head until I feel her fingers under my chin, lifting it up. “You didn’t take her away from me, Lucas.”

“No, but I can’t bring her back for you either.”

That’s the only thing that would make me feel better, I think. If I could rewind time. If I could walk into that closed-door meeting they must have held and told them there was no way in hell I was letting them build that building where they built it, knowing what they knew.

It feels so good to imagine it—to see and feel it down to the smell of ink in the air—but like most wonderful things, it’s impossible. Completely out of reach.

Except she’s not out of reach. I draw her to me and kiss her, hard, because I have something to prove to myself—she’s here, she’s with you, she wants to be with you—and she kisses me back just as fiercely. The last thing I want is for her to leave. I’d like to stay out here, on this deck of the house I rescued from the grave, forever. To fool time so this moment can last and last, so this force building between us can never be broken. But the last of the light is gone. I’m supposed to meet Doris the day after tomorrow, and something tells me her seal of disapproval would be as good as a death sentence, so I pull back. Delia pushes forward to get one last kiss, making me smile, and then I get to my feet and help her up to hers.

🎬Review🎬
Doing the right thing that turned Lucas’s life upside down and he is still dealing with the aftereffects. Agreeing to take part as an extra in a movie seemed like the perfect way to have a little fun and get a break from his life but it becomes so much more when Delia is also part of the cast.

Delia is very different from Lucas as she is fun, flamboyant and comfortable with who she is. Her decision to take part in the movie isn’t because of her interest in acting but because of the actor starring in the movie but sometimes fate has other plans.

Even if their first meeting was not ideal it certainly was memorable, and her unique personality gives Lucas insight as he finds himself at a crossroads in his life. A little suspense, a great cast of secondary characters and a romance that will touch your heart.

AUBREE

“Do you hear that?” I whisper, listening for any sound outside our bedroom. My question forces my husband’s eyes to open. He was already half awake, thanks to me asking him the same question a few minutes ago, but since it’s only five in the morning, he was probably hoping I’d fall back asleep.

Peter shakes his head and smiles as he pulls me toward him. “I don’t hear anything,”he says, giving me a soft kiss. My belly erupts with butterflies, the way it always does when my husband kisses me. It’s been that way since the first time he kissed me ten years ago.

Without breaking our kiss, he rolls us over so I’m on my back as he hovers above. “Merry Christmas, Aubs,”he murmurs against my lips as he pushes his groin against me.

I wrap my arms around his neck, fully on board with some early morning sex, when the noise I’ve been waiting for finally arrives.

“Mommy! Daddy! Santa came!” Evie shrieks. Two seconds later, she and her brother, Miles, burst into our room, both of their faces lit up with excitement.

“There’s a gazillion presents!” Miles says as Peter rolls off of me, groaning even as he breaks into a smile. He’s already switching to dad mode.

“We musta been sooo good,” Evie adds.

“The best,” I agree.

“Go check it all out, and your mom and I will be right there,” Peter tells the kids, who nod and race out, their tiny feet padding across the tiled floor.

“To be continued,” Peter says, kissing me softly.

After using the bathroom, we head out to the living room, where we find the kids attacking their stockings, candy and small toys strewn about, while they wait for us to open presents.

Peter plops onto the couch and pulls me down with him, wrapping his arms around me and kissing my cheek. “All right, who’s opening the first gift?” he asks with a huge smile on his face.

 “Me!” both kids exclaim.

We pass the morning with the kids opening present after present. Peter is a culinary professor, and I work at my grandma’s bakery, so we’re not rich by any means, but we love the holidays and always make sure to put money aside to make them special.

“Mommy, this one says your name, ”Evie reports, bringing the small gift over to me. “Look…” She thrusts it at me. “It has an M for Mommy.”

“You must’ve been really good,” Miles says. “Rory said mommies and daddies don’t get presents because they’re too old.”Rory is Miles’s best friend in his preschool class.

“Oh, your mom was very good,” Peter says with a knowing smile. “Open it.”

I take the box from Evie and unwrap it, a little giddy since Peter and I agreed not to exchange gifts this year due to money being tight. Inside the flat box are several pieces of paper. “What did you do?” I ask as I read the words over and over again.

“It’s a two-week trip to France to study with some of the top culinary chefs,” Peter says, making me gasp in shock.

“Pete…”My heart thumps wildly in my chest. “How did you…? How can we afford this?”

He lifts his hand and cups the side of my face. “I used my connections at work. You leave in three weeks, and I’m using my time off to stay with the kids.”

I look over at our four-year-old twins. I’ve never been away from them that long. But this opportunity is once in a lifetime. “Thank you. You’re the best husband ever.”

His smile stretches across his face. “I love you, Aubs. I just want—” His words are abruptly cut off, his features suddenly twisting into a pained expression. His eyes meet mine, a strange mixture of shock and…fear?

“Pete, what’s wrong?” I ask, confused.

“I…I think…my…chest…heart,” he stammers. He clutches his chest as I try to piece together his words. His chest…His heart…“Pete…”

“Daddy, what’s wrong?” Evie asks, toys forgotten.

“Daddy, does your belly hurt?” Miles asks.

“My heart,” Peter repeats, and it finally clicks. His heart! “Something’s wrong…” He looks from the kids to me, and my own heart feels like it’s about to stop beating. This can’t be good.

“Kids, go play in your room for a few minutes. Daddy isn’t feeling well,” I tell them, trying to keep my voice calm so they don’t freak out—which is damn hard to do since on the inside, I’m the one freaking the hell out.

The kids, evidently too worried and scared to argue, run off.

“Bree, I need you to call 9-1-1.”

Peter’s face is ashen, and his voice is breathy, like it’s hard to even speak. I grab my phone from the end table and then do as he says and call the emergency number. As I’m telling them all that I know—my husband is having chest pain and says it’s his heart—my eyes stay on Peter, praying they get here quickly. I’m giving them our address when Peter looks at me with tears in his eyes, mouthing I love you

His eyes close, and I scream into the phone to hurry. They ask me to stay on the line, so I put them on speaker, so I can use two hands to grab my husband’s shoulders and try to wake him up. “Pete, please, wake up. Help is on the way. Just hang in there…”

His body jerks slightly and then goes still, and I don’t know how I know, but I know his heart is no longer beating. I can feel it, as if my own is connected to his. As if our souls are one and he’s taking mine with him.

BLURB:

They say the line that separates love from hate is thin. So thin in fact that the two almost coexist. Almost.

It’s also been said that when a dude is a jerk to a girl, it’s because, deep down, he wants her. I’m calling bullshit on all of it.

Tate Tracy is about to find out that I’m not the nice boy anymore. Nor am I a forgiving person. She might have been my best friend for eighteen years, but now, she’s no one. And if I have to remind her of that, I will. Even if we’re going to be stuck living in an apartment … together.

The trouble is, I’ve only ever had one weakness in life.

And it’s Tate Tracy.

This is an emotional and angst filled journey as Link hasn’t forgiven Tate for what happened. It is a story of healing, second chances and realizing that as long as they have each other and their love they can overcome anything.

Friendly Fire 🔥 Available Now

Title: Friendly Fire
Series: Brothers of Fire #3
Author: Kathryn Shay
Genre: Contemporary/Firefighter Romance
Release Date: June 15, 2023

Captain Tim Daniels, a highly regarded firefighter, thinks everything’s okay at home until his wife Ava announces she’s unhappy with their marriage. She tells him he has to change his lifestyle for them to stay together. He’s been happy with how they live for fifteen years, so he has no desire to alter his behavior. But will he, for the love of his life?

“How are you, doing?” Noah Keaton asked.

“How the fuck do you think I’m doing?”

All four of the Brothers of Fire, seated around Tim Daniels’ hospital bed went silent. Tim let out a heavy breath and shook his head. “Sorry to be such a grump. I’m so damned frustrated. And my shoulder hurts like hell.” He touched the sling on his left arm that was supported by pillows. “This thing is a pain in ass. It pulls on my neck.” The last part sounded so plaintive that he didn’t recognize how own tone.

Jarek got up and crossed to the chair right next to the bed. He put his hand on Tim’s right arm. “I’d be the same way, buddy. You can let it out with us.”

“Yeah, but not at you.”

“Point taken.”

“Are you having nightmares?” Jarek asked.

“Yeah. They’re Scary.”

The guys expressed their sympathy. Traumatic events caused some PTSD in the department.

“Has Ava been here?” Adam asked. He sat with his ankles crossed his hands on this belly.

“Oh, yeah, she comes. She either sits there like a bump on a log or flits through a magazine. We only talk if we fight.”

“Why does she come, then?” Noah asked.

“Wifely duty. How would it look if a firefighter’s wife ignored her husband when he was the in the hospital?”

Noah shook his head. “Must be hell.”

“I’m thinking of telling her not to visit.” Tim struggled to find better news. “The girl are great when they’re here. They read to me, play games with me, fawn over me.”

“They love their daddy.” Noah of course would say that. Both of Tim’s girls were babysitting for him now.

“Speaking of Daddy…” Tommy put in. “We need an update from you, Noah. How’s it going with the boys and Chloe?”

He grinned. “Chloe’s pregnant.”

Four jaws gaped open. “Seriously?”

“Hell.”

“Geez.”

“Is that why she came back to you?” Jarek asked.

Noah snorted. “No. We’re in love. She can’t fake that.”

“How you gonna do all this?” Tommy wanted to know.

“We have no idea. We’re figuring it out now. I only found out two days ago.” He nodded. “The night you were shot, Tim.”

“Some good news then, I guess.”

“Yeah. Five kids.” Tommy smiled. “I hope I have at least one.”

“What about Chloe’s acting career?” Adam asked.

“I think she’s going to take time off after this movie wraps up on Harris Hill.”

“So she’ll still audition for roles?” Jarek this time.

“Actually, she’s booked for some already. But she takes a few months respite between films. This time it’s four, which will take us to seven months. She’s working with her agent to either get her out of the next film deal or postpone the filming until she’s recovered from birth.”

“It sounds like a crazy life, buddy.” Adam liked things more structured than what Tim’s life would be.

“Yeah, Adam. It is. But the choice is between that craziness or not being together. That makes it more palatable.”

“Knock, knock.”

All the guys looked over to the door. There stood a gorgeous brunette with lush hair and hazel cat eyes. Her body, in the slim pink dress, showed all her curves.

Tim said, “Courtney, what are you doing here?”

#

“I didn’t want to interrupt. I’m sorry your friends thought they had to leave.” Courtney Harper was the wife of Tim’s best friend. He’d died fighting a fire.

“Don’t worry, the guys had been here a while. I haven’t heard from you in so long.”

“May I sit?”

“Of course.”

She crossed to the chair and settled into it gracefully. Then she took his hand. “I saw the news of Crystal City Online. They released the names of the firefighters who were hurt.”

“I’m glad you came.” He squeezed her fingers and watched her face. And remembered holding that face in his hands. Their last words to each other were, We can’t.

She nodded to his shoulder. “How are you feeling?”

“Better every day. But it still hurts.”

“I’m so sorry.” She bit her lip. “You could have been killed.”

“Don’t think about that. What have you been doing?”

She let go of his hand and leaned back, crossed those sexy legs. “I got a job at an art gallery. It’s okay pay and with Hank’s pension and the kids Social Security, we have plenty of money.”

“Are you still living up on Lakeview Road?”

“Yes. I have family money too, if you remember, that paid for it.”

“I do.” Hank had been embarrassed by this show of wealth. “You have a lovely home.”

She sighed. “Listen to us. We’re talking like strangers.”

“In a way we are. All that was years ago.”

“It seems like yesterday.”

She looked out the window and bit her bottom lip. He remembered that affect. When they were together as families, it meant she was thinking about that past.

“I see Jayden and Linc, you know.”

“Yeah, they’re still good friends with Kathleen and Brie. Is it hard for you to see them?”

“Not so much anymore. At first it was.”

“They ask why we never see your family anymore.”

“I compartmentalize, Court. You know that.”

Her face paled. “So I’m just in another one of your boxes?”

“We agreed on that.”

“Then I probably shouldn’t have come.”

“No, no, that’s not what I mean. I’ve wanted to see you again.” He shrugged his good shoulder. “You apparently climb out of the box periodically.”

She laughed again. That sultry laugh he remembered so vividly. “What an image.”

“I have other memories. I try to squelch them, but they come when I’m down.”

“Ah. She glanced at his injury. “How did this happen?”

“Someone with a grudge against the department probably. He laid in wait.”

“For you?”

“Couldn’t be for me. I was taking someone’s place.”

She shook her head. “What an awful thing.”

“They’re investigating it now.”

“Do you need anything?”

“No, no. I have what I need.”

“Do you, Tim?”

“Don’t go there, Courtney. I’m still married.”

“Are you happy?”

He stared at her. “Why? You want to start things up again?”

“Is that an offer?”

“No.” God, this was hard enough the first time. He never expected to go through it again.

She stood. “Well then, I guess I should leave.” She got to the door then turned back. “It’s too bad, Tim. We could have been happy.”

He didn’t know what to say so he just watched her walk out that door.

🔥Review🔥
Tim is dedicated to his job as a firefighter and the team he works however it doesn’t leave much time to spend with his wife and his children which is causing some turmoil in his marriage. There is a distance between them that he doesn’t know how to mend however when he is injured he realizes what truly matters.

Ava loves her husband and their children, but she is discontented with her life. She is beginning to feel like her only worth to Tim is to raise their children and be there when he can make time for them. His injury ensures that they will be spending time together and will force them to face the problems in their marriage and if what they share is worth fighting for.

A little suspense and a heartwarming romance. I enjoyed seeing Tim and Ava find their way back to each other as they rediscover what they mean to each other and that it is something to be protected.

💛Review💛
Spencer has a demanding career as the CEO of his family’s publishing company but when he finds out that he has a two-month-old son, Ben, and his mother doesn’t want to raise him he realizes what love truly is and readjusts his life to be there for him. Due to his ex he is a little jaded when it comes to his ex but when he meets Penny, his new temporary neighbor, it isn’t long before their fling turns into feelings.

Penny is recently divorced and is still feeling the emotional and financial aftereffects. She meets Spencer when he comes to her aid and the sparks fly. She isn’t certain she is ready to allow another man into her life but a little fun might be a good idea however she soon falls in love with both father and son.

The characters draw you in and with the help of Spencer’s matchmaking grandmother they soon realize that love happens when you least expect it. I enjoyed catching up with the other characters we know and seeing who his grandmother has in her sights for his brothers.

Blurb:

Wild, Irish rock star, Greg Booker was just fourteen when he learned how precious life was.

From that day onward, he swore to live each day as if it was his last, filled with adventure, and to accept whatever happened during his life journey as some kind of divine intervention.

Despite being a musician in a world famous band, a rock star romance had so far evaded him. And although his fans and bandmates had grown used to his reckless, impulsive antics no one was prepared for what happened during a well-earned weekend break in Las Vegas.

When an unexpected event involving Greg took place, he sees it as a sign that this was meant to be, leaving most of his bandmates speechless. When Levi finally finds his voice, he offers Greg advice.

Can Greg accept Levi’s guidance, or will he continue on the path he feels life has chosen for him?
