When her nose isn’t buried in a book, or her fingers flying across a keyboard writing, she’s in the kitchen creating gourmet meals. You can find her, in four inch heels no less, in the car chauffeuring kids, or possibly with her husband scheduling his business trips. It’s a good thing her characters do what she says, because even her Labrador doesn’t listen to her…

✨TEASER: ALL THIS TIME by @harlowjamesauthor releasing October 10th! This will be a simultaneous release in Audio with the amazing narrators Teddy Hamilton and Samantha Brentmoor in DUET!
Fletcher Adams is not just the man that stole my heart at fifteen and never gave it back.
He’s also my brother’s best friend, and now one of the most famous players in the NFL.
But now he’s back in Blossom Peak for our mutual friend’s wedding, and guess who are the maid of honor and best man?
That would be us.
I’ve spent the past twelve years ignoring what happened between us that fateful night, and avoiding him as much as possible when he did pop into town to visit.
But now he’s everywhere.
In my salon getting a massage to support my business.
Participating in yoga to support my family’s winery.
And even hacking into my phone to monitor my glucose—which makes me furious and also a little bit weak in the knees.
Then he finds out that my ex-fiancé never satisfied me in the bedroom, so he instantly volunteers for the job.
Turns out time couldn’t snuff the flames that still burned between us.
But Fletcher has demons from his past he hasn’t faced, the kind that you can try to bury but always manage to get washed up in a storm.
And this storm just might destroy us both.
There’s one thing we can’t deny however, even though we try—feelings still matter, even after all this time.
Body Check is a forbidden romance featuring a grumpy hero and a curvy heroine who just can’t stay away from each other!
I’m the teammate nobody likes. I don’t play well with others, and I hog the puck. If I have a choice between passing or trying to score, I’ll take the shot every time.
It’s not my fault that nobody else is as good as I am.
When I transfer to Bainbridge University, it’s no surprise that my new team isn’t happy to see me. After all, I used to be their biggest rival, and I loved nothing more than scoring on them. Okay, there was one thing I enjoyed more, and that was getting under the skin of one of their D-Men, Mickey Mikalski.
I count on a frosty reception from my new team. I count on Mickey getting on my very last nerve.
What I don’t count on is falling in love with his sister.
Body Check is the second book in Season Two of the Bainbridge U Hockey series, and it can be enjoyed as a standalone. If you love surly heroes who don’t play well with others, body-positive heroines who know their worth, and steamy scenes that will make you want to take a dip in the pool just to cool off, then Dutton and Birdie’s love story is for you!

Feisty as hell and the most gorgeous woman I’ve ever seen. With the cutest kid and her grandmother in tow, she’s completely off limits. I don’t get involved with women like that. I learned long ago I don’t have the ability to love. My life is sordid and danger is always hiding in the shadows. Only I can’t turn my back on them when I realize she’s in trouble, and I insist on them staying in a cabin at the motel I own. As penance for my sins, I promised my life to protecting others. Except she becomes so much more. A need I don’t recognize. A desperation that burns beneath my flesh. One kiss, and I’m falling for her. One touch, and I’m at her feet. But when my dark past comes back to haunt me, I’m in a race against time to save the only woman I’ve ever loved. Only it may be the demons that have been chasing her that destroy what we built…
𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑻𝒆𝒎𝒑𝒐 𝒐𝒇 𝑻𝒓𝒖𝒕𝒉 (𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑴𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝑫𝒖𝒆𝒕 𝑩𝒐𝒐𝒌 3) by NYT and USA Today bestselling author Jay Crownover available in her store! The book will be released on all retailers on September 18th. Check out this sneak peek!
“Do you really want to call a truce?” I nudged her with my leg. It would be nice if things could go back to the way they were before everything got so complicated. We might never recapture our youthful infatuation, but it would be nice to return to a place where she didn’t doubt me, and I didn’t hate her for her suspicion. In that scenario, I still had too little and she had too much, but the gap between the two of us didn’t feel as insurmountable as it always seemed to be.
She nodded and watched me with sincere eyes behind the lenses of her glasses. “I do.”
I lifted the sling slightly and asked, “Do you want to kiss it and make it better?”
I was playing around, trying my best to reset the clock. Something flashed in Winnie’s eyes that suggested she didn’t get that I was joking.
Before I could get my footing and tell her I was teasing, her hands shot out and clasped my cheeks between her palms. I felt her thumb brush over the abrasions left behind from the earlier fight. Her touch was warm. The heat and softness radiated throughout my body. I’d never been handled with such care before. It was like our roles switched, and she now saw me as the breakable one.
There was plenty of time to pull away or dodge her as she leaned closer to me. My eyes locked onto where the old jersey started to ride up along her pale, creamy thighs. I stayed as still as possible as her lips hovered over mine. All it would take for a kiss was one of us moving the last few centimeters. We both stayed frozen in place as our breaths started to mingle.
I meant to pull away before things shifted in a direction I wasn’t prepared to deal with.
Winnie didn’t give me a chance to retreat. She closed the distance between us, her lips settling over mine with the lightest pressure possible. I was immediately thrown back to the single night we spent together. It might’ve been a big blur, but there was no forgetting how quickly things ignited and how quickly she was capable of making my insides burn.
BLURB:
Winnie Halliday is life’s greatest winner…

After several years chasing the one who got away, her childhood crush turned infamous footballer, Kyser Kent, Winnie’s about to return home. It’s time for her to take on the role she was born to play: the first female CEO of her family’s multi-billion-dollar business. It’s a massive challenge, but nowhere near as difficult as explaining to Ky and the relentless press that the reason she wasn’t alone upon her return could be traced back to a heated one-night stand in Portugal—an encounter her now downtrodden fling can hardly recall.
Kyser Kent is the world’s biggest loser…
He has no money, no friends, and a reputation tarnished beyond repair. His dream career of playing professional football overseas was sidelined by bad luck and some seriously questionable decisions. The thought of starting over makes him want to give up before he even begins digging himself out of suffocating debt and overwhelming disappointment.
Winnie saved Ky from himself when he hit rock bottom once before. Little did he know that night would tie him to the heiress for a lifetime and give him an undeniable reason to fight for himself—and for the family he never thought he’d have.
