A new steamy second chance hockey romcom standalone!
There’s absolutely no way I’d ever work for my ex-boyfriend. Besides, the only thing he needs help with is pulling the stick from his perfectly sculpted backside.
Gordon Benson is the one man I never wanted to see again. He’s grumpy, antagonistic, and so irritatingly more attractive than he was 12 years ago. Those biceps, that muscular chest, those dark green eyes that still manage to get me all twisted up…it’s not fair.
I broke up with him. He demolished my heart. End of story.
Or at least it was until I ran into him after a figure skating gig. And then his sister offered me a job as their executive assistant—a job I didn’t need until the company I worked for went bankrupt.
So, here I am, selling my soul to the actual Devil to make sure me and my daughter are taken care of. The daughter who shares his DNA and yet he acts like she doesn’t exist. I keep telling myself this job is only temporary, that I’ll find something else, but the more I stay here, the more the Nashville Devils feel like family.
And maybe there’s more to Gordon than insults and a prickly exterior. Maybe he’s not quite the villain I made him out to be but there’s still too much at stake. He could lose his hockey team and I could lose the only thing I have left. My heart.
I’ve spent my entire career focused on what happens on the ice.
Yet now that I’m nearing retirement, the beautiful Savannah Rhodes offers me something I never realized I wanted.
A future.
Our ten-year age difference doesn’t matter.
Even the risk to my friendship with her brother can’t extinguish the inferno of need that ignites with every touch.
There isn’t anything I crave more than her.
But when our secret is revealed and life takes a painful turn…
It threatens to change everything.
She’s all I want.
I just need to convince her that I’m worth the risk.

Bax Mayson thought he had escaped the family curse—until he saw Olivia Gannon again.
It’s been eight years since he last laid eyes on his best friend’s little sister, and now, fate has thrown her back into his life. As if their undeniable connection isn’t complicated enough, a mysterious threat looms, determined to tear Olivia away from him.
For Olivia, moving back home wasn’t supposed to change everything—until it did.
Running into Bax was the last thing she expected, but that one encounter sets off a whirlwind of events she couldn’t have imagined. Now, with family tensions rising, exes resurfacing, and a hidden enemy out for revenge, Olivia must figure out who—or what—they’re fighting. Because one thing is certain: she and Bax have something worth fighting for.
I wear my emotions on my tattoo-covered sleeve, I say all the wrong things and I revel in pissing off a certain redhead far more than I should. In other words, I’m the last person the court would choose to parent any child, let alone three of them.
Yet being their father is all I want.
So when the woman I love to hate offers to help make all my dreams come true, I jump at the chance. Marrying Ava is a convenient solution: she’s my kids favorite person and the court will absolutely approve of the woman who runs the biggest charity in Boston.
But there is nothing convenient about the way I feel when she fights with me, or when we kiss. And I’m not sure which I enjoy more.
This marriage may have a time limit but I’m beginning to think I’d like to keep my wife. She’ll probably fight me on it, but as they say, all’s fair in love and war.
They think my greatest gift is my ability on the ice. But they’re wrong.
I’ve been hailed as the guy who has it all when it comes to hockey. Powerful people have invested their time and money, determined to turn my potential into their reality.
The most influential of those people? Graham Jenkins—former NHL player and the General Manager of the Dallas Destroyers. The second he set eyes on me in the little leagues, he piled all his resources into my success. And when the Destroyers were awarded the first-round draft pick, he didn’t hesitate to snap me up.
He thought I was the golden boy, the star that would make his team as successful as his playing career. Only I wasn’t. Instead of unleashing my potential in front of the goal, he discovered my real talent—secrets.
And I have many that I will never share. One for every scar disguised beneath the tattoos painting my body, along with the childhood memories either buried deep inside my broken mind or drowned out by empty bottles lining my kitchen counter.
There’s only one secret I wish I didn’t have to keep. She’s also the addiction I know I’ll never kick. A detox my heart could never survive since it only beats for her. And even years after we were torn apart, my fixation hasn’t changed. Although neither have our circumstances—I’m still the broken boy, suffocated with trauma. And she’s still Mia Jenkins, the good girl, and daughter of the man who offered me everything except his blessing to date her.
But one thing about addiction? It never seeks permission.

“What?” She grimaced. “Parker, you’re my best friend.”
“How could I forget, sunshine?” I leaned over and flicked her nose. “I’ll be your fake boyfriend,”
I clarified. “So Duke leaves you alone.”
“You want to… fake date?”
“Yeah.” I went back to eating my food, knowing she needed time to process this.
She bit her lip, worrying it in between her teeth. “I couldn’t ask you to do that.” Her food was completely forgotten in front of her, like she was so distracted she couldn’t even remember to eat.
I’d noticed that she got so busy that she forgot to eat during the school day last semester. It was one of the reasons I texted her and asked if she wanted to get dinner almost every night. Our schedules might not always line up for lunch, but I was making sure she got fed.
I crossed my arms over my chest. “You’re not asking, Rosie. I’m offering. And besides, it makes sense. We’re spending all of this time together anyway. And now I’m doing the musical with you.”
Assuming the audition went well. I still had to prove I could do it.
“How long would we even do this for?”
“Till the end of the musical, I guess.” Even if it was fake, at least I’d get to be by her side. That was what I was telling myself.
“Right. That makes sense.” Audrey blew out a breath, blowing her bangs off her forehead.
“Hey.” I rested my hand over hers, and when she looked at me, her eyes were filled with so much uncertainty. I hated that. “Are you okay?”
She shrugged, stabbing at a piece of pasta instead of responding to me.
“It’s okay if you’re not, you know,” I whispered. God knows I wasn’t okay, not. Not after last semester. Maybe she’d understand why I wanted to help her if I told her. But I couldn’t make my mouth form the words. Not yet. It was still too raw. Too real.
“It doesn’t feel like that,” she admitted. “I feel like everyone expects me to be happy all the time.”
“You don’t have to be,” I insisted. “You don’t have to be anything with me other than yourself.
You know that, right? I’m friends with you, Audrey. Not whoever people expect you to be. I like the girl who loves wearing pink, but also was never afraid to play in the mud with me when we were younger. When we were biking, you’d cry when you scraped your knees, but it never stopped you from getting back. What’s stopping you now?”
“I don’t know,” she murmured. Something was holding her back. I knew it was. What had happened to make her draw into herself? To lose the sparkle in her gorgeous violet-hued eyes? I wanted to help her get it back.
Squeezing her hand, I let go. “I’m here. Whenever you need me, I’m always here.”

JT
Life hasn’t always been easy, but things are beginning to look up. I’m the starting goalie for the BU Wolves, Coach Baylor has become the family I have always wanted as a kid, and my dream career is waiting for me. All I need to do is defend my net for the next few seasons so I can prove to the Boston Bruisers that they drafted me for a reason. That’s a pretty bright future for a man with a past like mine.
When I hit up a party with a bunch of my roommates, I never expected to fall hard. But from that night on, it’s out of my control. Maggie Baylor is the one for me, no matter how much she tries to deny it.
Just when I think we’re getting somewhere, she ghosts me. But there’s one thing Maggie doesn’t understand: I’m not letting anything or anyone—not even Coach—stand in our way.

As a transfer student, I have one goal: finish my senior year without any drama. And, ok…I may have lost sight of that goal before the year officially started. But that’s not my fault—Hottie Gym Shorts Guy was…well, hot. And sweet. And so very talented. That’s why I bolted the next morning. I didn’t move back home to fall in lust or worse, love. I came back to Bainbridge to spend time with my Uncle Hudson and earn my degree.
Besides, there won’t be any drama because I’m never going to see him again.
Except I do. We just keep running into each other. It’s fine, though. I can resist.
Until I can’t. JT is crumbling all my defenses. I’m on the verge of letting myself fall in love, even if I know my uncle will disapprove, when two little pink lines appear. I brace myself for impact because the only thing I know about love is that it doesn’t last.
But JT doesn’t leave my side. He slays my dragons and rubs my feet and makes me reconsider everything I thought I knew.
Is this really something I can believe in, or will our world come crashing down just when we need each other the most?

Between Now and Forever by Adriana Locke is now live!
Neighbors to lovers can be a risky proposition in this funny, sexy, and swoony romantic comedy between a single mother and the grumpy man next door by USA Today bestselling author Adriana Locke.
When Gabrielle Solomon falls, she falls hard. Even if that means literally toppling over a porch railing in nothing but a flimsy towel—right in front of her sexy new neighbor.
Jay Stetson is 100 percent hero material with those arms, that chest, and his deliciously oh-so-sexy smirk. The chiseled hunk in flannel has an irresistible off-limits attitude while plucking Gabrielle out of the bushes and saving her from a snake. Unfortunately, he’s not indulging in what Gabrielle is offering—not with his emotional train wreck of a past.
Just neighbors. Just friends. Or so he says.
Secretly, he’s smitten with the single, fierce mama bear of two who plays Miss Fix-It at the house next door. He doesn’t even really mind the noise or the chaos her young sons cause. What he does mind is how his lonely heart races when looking into her emerald-colored eyes.
Can Jay let his painful memories go, or will he let the woman of his dreams slip between his fingers?

USA Today and Amazon Charts Bestselling author, Adriana Locke, writes contemporary romances about the two things she knows best—big families and small towns. Her stories are about ordinary people finding extraordinary love with the perfect combination of heart, heat, and humor.
She loves connecting with readers, fall weather, football, reading alpha heroes, everything pumpkin, and pretending to garden.
Hailing from a tiny town in the Midwest, Adriana spends her free time with her high school sweetheart (who she married over twenty years ago) and their four sons (who truly are her best work). Her kitchen may be a perpetual disaster, and if all else fails, there is always pizza.
Gabrielle wants to help her and her two sons heal from the passing of their father and her ex and she believes the best way for that to happen is to return to her hometown where they will be surrounded by people who care about them. She has found the perfect home, even if it needs a little work, but the one thing she hadn’t taken into consideration was her new neighbor and the feelings she would have for him.
Jay isn’t looking for love or a relationship especially with a single mother due to events from the past. Despite that rather than distancing himself from them he finds himself wanting to spend time with them but the adjustment is complicated not only when it comes to Gabrielle and Jay but her children as well.
Both Jay and Gabrielle bear the emotional scars of the past which doesn’t always have them making the right choices. I enjoyed seeing them give in to their feeling and find the love, romance and family they have always wanted but didn’t think they could have.
