“My rage-fueled escape-my-life plan fizzles at the Empire International Airport.
Thwarted by ticket prices.
What was I thinking? Airlines don’t offer “broken heart” discounts.
A last-minute ticket for the places I’d want to go would drain almost everything I’ve managed to save in my bank account.
Defeated, I turn away from the ticket counter and shuffle toward a low, white bench by the floor-to-ceiling window looking out over the parking garage. Fatigue drags my butt down to the bench where I sit with my back to the window. I rest my elbows on my thighs and drop my head into my hands. Every nerve from my shoulders to my fingertips throbs, triggering a cascade of misery to rain over me.
The sound of shattering glass echoes in my mind.
I destroyed the car Griff gave me. The car we lovingly restored together.
“No, no, no.
Every time I think I’ve pushed “the big bad thing” that made me take a bat to the car out of my head, images of Griff and Kiki in bed together replay.
The only man I thought I’d ever love betrayed me for all the world to see.
Running away won’t solve this pain.
Forget my lack of escape funds, I have a job, and my internship this summer. Remy went out of his way to secure the internship for me. It’s important for the career I want to have one day.
Why should I give up my future just because Griff decided to stick his dick where it didn’t belong?
“You all right, miss?” a rough but kind voice says from above me.
I tip my head up. Awareness that twin hot, wet trails are running down my cheeks chases a response out of my mouth. Embarrassed, I quickly wipe the tears away.
“Huh?” I mumble stupidly, staring at the airport security guard standing a respectful distance away.
“You, um, look upset.” Alert dark brown eyes bore into mine. “Do you need help?”
“Help getting over my boyfriend. But I don’t think this stranger can help me with that need. “No, no. I’m fine.” I force a quick, fake smile. “Thank you.”
“He’s young. Probably not much older than my brother. And apparently persistent. “Are you waiting for someone?” he asks.
Do I look suspicious or something?
“Not really.” Way to give a vague answer, genius. He’s going to call for backup any second.
“Here.” He reaches into his pocket and pulls out a flat green-and-white card. “You look like you could use a hot chocolate. Starbucks is on the second floor.” He tips his head toward the escalators.
Empire International is only “International” in name. The airport’s small—I can see the green-and-white Starbucks awning from where I’m sitting. But I nod and reach for the card. “Thanks.”
He studies me as I take the card from his hand. Our fingers briefly touch. His eyebrows pinch together.
Crackers. What if he’s not worried I’m a safety risk? What if he watches Supreme Underground Fighter? What if he saw the episode last night and feels sorry for me because I’m a pathetic loser whose boyfriend couldn’t wait to cheat on her?
I gotta get away from him before he asks more questions.”
The story of Griff and Molly continues and after the events that unfolded previously you wonder where they go from here. The struggle that Molly faces between what she believes and what is real is difficult and once she gets over the shock, she will have to decide what is fact and what is fiction.
Even though Griff understands why Molly has doubts he is hurt that she didn’t believe in him and their love. Despite that hurt he isn’t about to give up and will stop at nothing to show her that he has and will always love her.
Griff and Molly take us on angst filled journey as even though their love was tested it was never broken. With the help of friends of family, they realize that what truly matters is each other and work to overcome all the outside obstacles trying to tear them apart.
“Just because my life’s a mess, though, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be happy. If you still have a thing for our ace, I’m down to help get his attention back where it belongs.” Alex taps the tip of my nose with index finger, and I go cross-eyed watching it.
“Alex, I’m not sure—”
“Shhh, hold on.”
I hold my tongue, feeling everything and nothing at the same time. His hand is so warm, and I’m sure my palm is sweating. My pulse is beating in my fingertips. I know that much for sure.
“Yeah, he sees us,” he says, turning his attention back to the game, but keeping his hold on me.
“Trust me, Nikki. You might not be sure, but I am.” And before I can protest and put an end to this entire misunderstanding, Alex brings our tethered hands to his mouth and presses his lips to my knuckles. The whole thing lasts a second, but my eyes take it in through slow-motion lenses.
“Yeah, Brayden might punch me eventually. But it will be worth it if he comes groveling back.
Make him beg, though, okay? Promise me that. Make him beg for you. I think this little project is exactly what I need—a low-distraction distraction.” Alex’s eyes never fully reach mine, but his smirk shows what joy he’s getting out of making his teammate jealous. Playing matchmaker. For me. With someone else.
Maybe pretend is close enough to real for me, too.
BLURB:
I’ve had a crush on my best friend, Alex Mendoza, for years, and I was finally going to tell him how I felt. But instead, I got cold feet. And now he thinks I’m interested in his teammate—my ex.
Of course, being the good friend he is, Alex has offered to make my ex jealous. What’s wrong with a little play flirting?
Well, for starters, I’m not playing.
Alex’s mom and mine are best friends, soul sisters forged together by growing up in the same small town. They say they didn’t plan it, but the fact that Alex and I were born two weeks apart has always felt very much part of their plan. Our birthday parties were always together. First days of school were the same. And when Alex got his own car, the passenger seat was literally labeled with my name—Nikki Thomas. Convenient since we were inseparable.
For most of my life, Alex has been like the big brother I never had. He’s always been my protector. And he’s always made me feel safe. But somewhere along the way, he started to make me feel other things too.
Now it’s his senior baseball season, and he has the talent to go pro. His dreams are all coming together. My life, on the other hand, is falling apart. I know Alex would support me if I told him my secrets. After all, that’s what best friends do. But maybe it’s my turn to be the protector. And if that means all I can have are a few pretend kisses, then perhaps that will have to be enough.
Unless it turns out Alex has been keeping secrets of his own.

I kept my nose clean. Bad publicity was the last thing you wanted, and I’d had my share since my last breakup went public. We’d also just lost our last five games.
The boys and I decided to head to the islands for a little R&R. I’d never been so happy for a break. That was where I saw her. She didn’t seem to recognize me, which made it better, so I made my move. We didn’t exchange names or numbers. We shared one carefree night, that was all I wanted and that was all it was supposed to be.
A few months later, regret from that night had almost eaten away at me. I hadn’t been able to get her out of my mind. I wouldn’t say I fell in love with her, or maybe I did. All I knew was that night was the closest I’d ever come to insta-love and I wanted more but we’d had our fun. Yet, I was still mentally kicking myself for at least not getting her name.
We’re about to head into the playoffs when I return home and that is when the universe decides to bring us back together in one of the worst places ever. Only this time won’t be like the last, I decide I won’t let her slip through my fingers. This time, I’ve promised myself nothing, and all bets are off.

From award-winning USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestselling author Brighton Walsh comes the sixth book in the spicy Starlight Cove series set in a small coastal Maine town.
Bookworm, an all-new college workplace, second chance romance with a bookworm heroine and a romance novel hero from USA Today bestselling author Katana Collins is now available!
That’s how you wake up hungover, having spent your entire life savings on a first edition of Pride and Prejudice… that your cat just peed all over.
To make matters worse, you also drunkenly emailed every Ivy League university last night and sold the nearly priceless cat-pee book to Dartmouth.
In my defense, I was celebrating finally getting my masters degree in library science with a focus in book restoration from Oxford University.
And let’s be honest, I’m sort of awesome when drunk. I not only leveraged a book sale for a profit, but I also talked my way into an eight-week freelance gig restoring books in my hometown of New Hampshire at the Dartmouth library.
What’s less awesome? Realizing the Dartmouth English Literary professor who hired me is actually Adam, the ex-boyfriend that I ran away from seven years ago. My first love. My first kiss. My first… everything.
And as it turns out, Adam has very much turned into every dreamy hero I’ve read about in every romance novel through the years. It might be time for me to put the book down and write my own Happily Ever After…
Amanda Jackson was used to toxic men. Its all she’d ever known. And this gorgeous blonde property manager, Connor Brooks, was a walking red flag. But she needed a place to stay, and this unit sounded amazing. She’d be crazy not to look at it.
For Connor, finding a mark was easy. A simple ad in the classifieds. Once they were inside, it was too late to escape. They had no way out. One look at their frightened eyes on the monitor, that’s when the housebreaking could begin.
The second Connor closed the door, Amanda understood her situation. She was trapped and defenseless. Or was she? She has one card to play: make her captor fall for her before it was too late.
All she wanted was an apartment. What she got was The Cage.
Not long out of college, Mackenzie Reeves has found herself halfway across the country, relocated from Atlanta, Georgia, to small-town Hamilton, Montana. But it’s not just a fresh start—it’s an escape. For years, she’s been trying to steer clear of the abusive stepfather who’s made her life hell and turned her mother into someone she doesn’t recognize. Now, on Dirk and Merit Littlewood’s gorgeous farm, she’s found a bit of peace. Until a certain dimpled, dark-eyed handsome devil walks into her barn and changes her life with a single look.
Not quite twenty-four, and champion bull rider Bradly Littlewood already feels twice his age. He loves the sport, but between the politics, the lonely nights, missing his family…his heart and head are no longer in the game. And when he’s home for the holidays, surrounded by cousins who’ve married and started their own families, he can add jealousy to the mix. He’s missed so much, and he wants what they have. Turns out, one unplanned stop at the family barn and he may have found it…in the form of a pajama-clad angel, singing and dancing for a captive audience of farm animals.
Mackenzie and Bradly’s instant smolder in the barn becomes a blazing wildfire within days, surprising everyone. Both their futures are uncertain for very different reasons. But their love? That’s rock solid. Beyond a doubt.
A love so strong, so unbreakable, even forever isn’t enough.
The author suggests you read the books in order for a better reading experience.
Even though it started as a way for Mackenzie to distance herself from a difficult situation she has found a job, friends, and a home in Montana. When Bradly, the son of the owners of the ranch where she works, is home for the holidays the feelings she has for him are unlike anything she has felt before however her past is never far behind.
Bradly enjoys his career as a bull rider, but he is beginning to wonder if there is more. Not only is he close to his family but seeing everyone in his life find the person they are destined to be with he cannot help but feel alone. When he sees Mac, he knows that she is what has been missing in his life and now he needs to convince her as well.
The romance between them is enchanting as even though they are both facing changes in their lives they realize that with the support of family, friends and each other they can truly have it all.

Taking over the family farm in our small town was the only future I knew. But the never ending work left me with no social life and my virginity intact. Until my childhood rival graced us with his presence and was convinced he could help me with my…problem.
Owen Ramsey was an elite professional baseball player that left Ashfield without a backward glance. But when he was left at the altar, he sought refuge back in our town. I hated how he could simultaneously make my heart race and my hands fist. And I really despised how good he looked in a pair of baseball pants.
He needed my help just as much as I needed his. If I agreed to fake date him, he would help me snag the man I had my eye on and I would help convince his ex that he wasn’t heartbroken.
But with his return to baseball looming, we realized maybe the hate we felt was really something more like love.
The fear of disappointing my family was too great, even though I craved something different for the first time ever. Owen was used to hitting balls out of the park, but I wasn’t sure I was meant to be his home run.

BLURB:
Love was a losing battle for this country music darling and a single dad, baseball star until one night brings them together and one small town sets the field for a possible winning streak.
They call me Lady Boss. Maneater. Queen. But beneath the makeup, blond wig, and glitzy costumes, I’m just a country girl who likes to sing. I don’t hate men, I’m just struggling to find a good one. I’ve learned my lesson. Fool me once, and it will never, ever happen again.
So I’m baffled when I meet Ford Sylver.
A superstar in his own right as centerfielder for the Chicago Anchors baseball team, plus a single dad to three adorable little girls, we share a moment when I save his firm backside and pretend he’s mine. Something that he can never be.
Only, when he suffers a season-changing injury and I need a place to disappear, we both end up back in Sterling Falls, where I’m suddenly and unwittingly his nanny.
There’s danger in having a wild side. I’ll try anything once. However, forced into close quarters with Ford, acting as his personal nurse, and caring for his three little ones might backfire. Because I’m staring at all I ever wanted and never thought would happen for me.
After losing at love in the past, could I finally be on a winning streak?
Why you need to #ONECLICK this book… 💙Best Friend’s Daughter 🔥Single Dad 💙Age Gap 🔥Hockey Romance 💙Revenge 🔥Forbidden 💙Mysterious Baby on a doorstep
There are only a few rules I live by: enjoy life, smile as often as possible, and don’t ever let a woman come between friends.
Oh and hockey is life.
For the past forty years I’ve done an excellent job at every single one of them.
Until Millie Hall.
To be fair, I had no idea who she was that first night. Can’t say the same about the second.
Finding out that the mystery girl who turned my world upside down was the twin sister of my star left winger and my best friend’s twenty-two year old daughter is less than ideal.
Hiding our relationship from not only her father but my brothers, nearly impossible.
But my best friend makes it incredibly difficult to walk away from his daughter when he keeps thrusting her in my direction.
As a single dad, I have a whole set of new rules, but one thing remains, falling for Millie Hall would be a major puck up.
Why you need to #ONECLICK this book… 🔥Hockey Player 🔥ER Doctor 🔥Steamy 🔥Contemporary Romance 🔥Opposites Attract 🔥Neighbors 🔥Co-parenting a dog
Girlfriend…without benefits?
Hometown hockey hero, Blake has life completely figured out. He’s footloose and fancy free with the world’s coolest job and an endless parade of puck bunnies ready to help him celebrate his victories. The status quo is working for him, so why does he agree to co-parent a stray puppy with his too-serious, workaholic neighbor, Erika? And why is he so annoyed when she suddenly starts dating some tool named Doug? And why can’t he stop finding excuses to see her and touch her and kiss her and… She’s not his girlfriend, right?
Erika has enough on her plate as an ER doctor without adding any more stress to her life. So adopting a dog with Blake, the fun-loving, never-take-anything-serious, commitment-phobe across the hall is a stupid idea, right? Of course, she also probably shouldn’t be his plus-one for charity galas either. Or seeking comfort from him during a thunderstorm. Or kissing his five-for-fighting boo-boos better. Or letting him teach her how to “reduce stress” with her personal toy collection. After all, he’s not her boyfriend. Is he?
So what happens when two people reluctant to commit find love where they least expect it… Right across the hall.
He greets me at the door, but I hardly notice him as he stands there taking up most of the doorframe, because in the space beside him, I have a clear view directly out the floor-to-ceiling glass walls. And with the sun already on the horizon, Boston Harbor looks like it’s on fire with ribbons of gold and orange dancing across the surface of the water.
“Holy shit,” I sigh, one hand pressed to my chest. “This view…”
Colt looks down at me. “I’d say thanks, but I don’t think you’re talking about me.”
“You’re so full of yourself.” I laugh as he pulls me to him, circling his arms around my back and pressing a kiss to the top of my head.
“If I had my way right now, you’d be full of me too.”
“I don’t know why I like you so much,” I say, rising onto my tiptoes so I can trail kisses across his jaw.
“Because I’m a likable guy.”
I snort out a laugh. “You’re tolerable, I suppose.” I don’t know why I keep pretending to resist him—but it’s like a defense mechanism I can’t let go of after so many years.
“You seemed to tolerate me just fine when I was buried inside you last night.” The words are a low caress against my ear and send a shiver down my spine.
I can’t help the way my body tries to curl into him, how my hips want to rise and meet his, how my skin wants his rough hands skating gently across it, how my core aches to have him inside me again.
“Meh,” I say, and go to move past him.
But he captures my hand in his, pulling me back to him as he drops his voice so deep it’s practically a growl. “Every time you try to push me away, I’m going to pull you right back. If I’m going to fall, you’re coming down with me.”

𝐅𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐭 by Julia Connors is releasing on June 7th!!! We are thrilled to share a teaser with you!
After fifteen years of tending goal for the Boston Rebels, I’m known for two things: the highest save percentage in the league, and never spending more than one night with the same woman.
I’m definitely not the guy you should trust with your best friend’s little sister. Especially not when that sister, Jules, is eight years younger and my new roommate.
When I witness her on the verge of a panic attack while being intimidated by another man, I don’t think twice about calling her my fiancée and kissing her. Which brings me to the third thing I’m known for: reckless and impulsive decision-making.
After a video of that steamy kiss goes viral, the whole world is convinced we’re engaged. If we don’t play along, I risk losing my place as the starting goalie for the Rebels, and Jules’s reputation and career could tank.
Our engagement may be fake, but the memories of the way she tastes, and the feel of her body wrapped around mine, are all too real. And the more time we spend together, the less it feels like pretending.
None of the secrets from my past seem to matter as much when I’m with her. It turns out, Jules may have some secrets of her own – and uncovering them just might be what heals me…or what finally breaks me.𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝐔𝐩: https://forms.gle/JanD7R7Ub1ABVWDWA

About JL Beck:
Beck writes steamy romance that’s unapologetic, meaning it makes no apologies for the way it rips you open and makes you crave more. Her heroes are alphas who take what they want, and she pairs them with heroines that bring them to their knees.
She loves writing about darkness, passion, suspense, and of course, steam.
Leaving her readers gasping and asking what the hell just happened is only one of her many tricks.
Her books range from morally grey to dark and spicey but always end with a happily ever after. She loves to write across numerous tropes, but her favorite is enemies to lovers.
She started her writing career in the summer of 2014 and hasn’t stopped since. She lives in Wisconsin and is a mom to two, a wife, and likes to act as a literary agent part-time.

He’s got his eye on the exceptionally ordinary, Channing Harvey.
There’s so much history and hatred between the two of them, that a happily ever after is impossible. Win doesn’t need forever, he just needs to get his tyrannical mother off his back.
Channing’s not interested in his millions or his ridiculous contract marriage offer, but she’s about to learn that Win Halliday is relentless. This is the first decision Win has made with only himself in mind, and nothing’s going to stop him from getting what he wants.
They’re getting married, and God help whoever gets in Win’s way — including his very reluctant bride-to-be.
I never looked back the day I left Sunset Drive. If I did, I knew that I would never leave the hellhole I had grown to despise, a place I began plotting my escape from as a child. The only difference was that I always thought she’d be by my side on the day I was finally free.
The day I left it all behind was the day my hatred for the entire Wilson family was born. Poppy included. After all, she had lied to the police just to protect her monstrous father after he got my parents killed. From that day forward, I decided she needed to be dead to me. They all did. The only thing that mattered from then on was the one thing that had never let me down. Hockey.
She may haunt me in my dreams during those three years we were apart, but that was nothing compared to now when I’m forced to see her at Brooks University. Slowly, my grip on everything else in my life begins to slip away as she becomes the only thing that matters. And when I find her in an alleyway, battered and bruised from two attackers who vow to return for her…I decide right then that I am going to protect her at all costs.
But protecting her means making a deal with the devil, also known as my rich uncle. A deal that will mean I will never get the chance to spend forever with the only girl I’ve ever loved. Poppy Wilson.
It’s a high price to pay, but when it comes to her safety, I have no limits.
