Evan and Frankie Leigh have been best friends since they were children as when they became teenagers it turned into an epic love that Frankie thought would last until death do you part. She was left devastated when he decided to leave town with no warning and although she has moved forward with her life she has not forgotten the heartbreak of that day and every day since.
Evan had medical issues so he did what he thought was best for everyone and that was to leave without looking back. Three years later he returns as suddenly as he disappeared, and he has a surprise for everyone.
Everyone is ecstatic to have him back safe and sound and that includes Frankie but she isn’t about to open her heart and let him back in as she knows she wouldn’t be able to survive the devastation a second time if he left again. Evan is determined to reclaim the only woman he has ever loved and is willing to be patient and prove to her that with her is where he wants to be.
This story takes you on an emotional journey that has all the feels.
