Cassie is at a crossroads in her life and is trying to decide what course she wants her future to take. Tom is a successful neurosurgeon and the brother of Cassie’s new employers. From their first meeting they are drawn to each other but neither wants to risk her job or the possible conflict if a relationship doesn’t work out. A friendship evolves between them but what happens if friends are not enough?
