After being betrayed by those he thought he could trust Doobie couldn’t leave town fast enough and has stayed away for the last five years. Although he created a new life for himself he has missed his family and is ready to face his past but his sisters aren’t about to just forgive and forget.

Alicia is drawn to Doobie despite the fact that her roommate and friend has advised her that getting involved with him will only end in heartbreak. They know that they should keep their distance so that it doesn’t complicate the reunion with his family, but some things are too strong to deny.

I really enjoyed Doobie and Alicia together. Doobie knows that he didn’t handle leaving the right way and understands how his family feels while Alicia is so supportive in bringing him and his family back together. This is a sweet and sexy story about love, family and new beginnings.
