Memphis was enchanted by his new neighbor Skylar from the first time he met her when he was a teenager. He knew that she was everything he wanted however the feelings he had for her she had for his foster brother Josh which begins a long and painful journey as he puts her wants first with devastating results.
Skylar has a difficult past and the present situation is even worse. She has never had the support she needed to understand and fight for what she deserves. She and Josh became closer over a trauma that they have both endured so she just overlooks everything he does not prepared to acknowledge the feelings she has for Memphis and that he has for her.
Skylar is a woman whose actions may be understandable but have hurt the one person who cares deeply for her while Memphis has learned that the only way to protect himself is by letting people so close and no further. Experiencing the backstory of these two damaged characters leave us wanting the rest of their story.
