Megan was going through a difficult time in her life and the one person who was there for her was her teacher Lance. It felt natural seeing them develop feelings for each other and although they didn’t pursue that relationship she was devastated when he left with no explanation or further contact so when he reappears in her life more than a decade later she isn’t about to just forgive and forget.

Lance gave Megan a piece of his heart that he has never been able to reclaim despite his attempts to move forward in his life. Now that she is back in his life he isn’t about to lose her a second time but not only do they need to deal with the pain of the past but the challenges in the present.

Despite the intense feelings between them Megan and Lance first met it wasn’t the right time in their lives as Megan needed to become the woman she was meant to be. Doing the right thing was difficult for them both but seeing them together as adults only reinforces that some things are meant to be and it is finally their time.
