When Matteo finished high school, he decided to leave his family, his hometown and his two best friends to pursue the future he thought he wanted. He returned a few years later to tell Leila that he loved her only to find out she was dating their best friend, so he left without a word. Years later he returns for his brother’s wedding and finds so much more.
Leila has finally accepted that she married the wrong best friend who she has recently divorced. Having Matteo come home brings up all the feelings of the past however even if he isn’t here to stay he might just be the man to fulfill the one dream she has always wanted but was beginning to feel was out of reach.
Both Matteo and Leila are at a crossroads as Leila accepts the end of her marriage and Matteo is trying to come to terms with a devastating loss. The feelings between them are stronger than ever and with the help of friends of family they might just find their way back to each other. The narrators were a wonderful choice for the story as they brought out the chemistry, the love and every emotion that these two felt for each other and what they were going through.
