Even though Hendrix wasn’t on the plane the devastating day when it crashed he is still dealing with the aftereffects of the loss of his teammates. When he arrives at the pub where he is taking part in a charity event it only reinforces that despite his attempts the relationship with his girlfriend isn’t meant to be. The one bright spot from the evening is that it brings Stevie into her life.
Stevie is the owner of the pub and is very close to the father who raised her as her mother left when she was a child. Her mother has recently resurfaced into her life, and she is struggling with how she feels and if they can have a relationship. From the moment that she and Hendrix meet the sparks fly and the connection they share is both physical and emotional however the emotional scars of the past cause some turmoil that could destroy everything they share.
I enjoyed seeing the relationship between Stevie and Hendrix unfold and when things became complicated they had their friends and her father’s support to help find their way back to each other. The narrators did a wonderful job of portraying both the romance and emotion of the story and the characters.
