Whitton was attracted to Eve from their first meeting however he realized they wanted different things when it came to a relationship. He doesn’t know why she is hesitant, but when she starts working for the family business he is determined to show her that the only thing that matters is the present and he is willing to accept whatever she is willing to give.

Eve has a difficult past and doesn’t believe she can be what Whitton deserves long term. The chemistry between them is undeniable but he also shows her that what they share is not only physical and she can count on him to be there for her when the past and family issues resurface.

Whitton was patient, understanding and knew Eve better than she knew herself while Eve had been trying to keep her past and family issues separate from the new life she created until they collide which caused a little turmoil but the love between them was never in doubt. The narrators were a great choice for the characters as they brought out the heat and heart of this story.
