The biggest regret that Roan has in his life is ending his relationship and all his success as a country musician does little to ease that pain. Even though it’s been years he is no longer willing to leave things as they have been and he will do whatever is necessary to convince Alma that he is a man she can trust with her heart.
Alma is no longer the woman whose heart was broken by Roan. She is determined to keep her relationships casual, so she never feels that heartbreak again however when he reappears in her life her head is screaming no while her heart is feeling yes.
The interactions between them are entertaining as Roan tries to make amends for the past while Alma is cautious about letting him back into her life and her heart. This is a heart wrenching story about love, second chances and healing as Roan fights for the woman he has always loved.
