Maddie hasn’t made the best choices when it comes to the men in her life, and she has just found out that she has repeated the pattern. She and her five-year-old son need a fresh start so they move in with her brother which happens to bring Kaleb, a friend that she and her brother share, and a man she always denied her deeper feelings for.
Kaleb is a professional hockey player who has never found the right woman to share his first time with. He has always had deep feelings for Maddie and now that she is back, he wants her to be that woman. They come up with an arrangement that will give them both what they need but once he has her, he isn’t about to give her up and now he just needs to convince her.
I enjoyed seeing Maddie and Kaleb finally acknowledge their feelings for each other and realize they are meant to be together. There is a great combination of angst, humor and romance and not only do we get to know Maddie and Kaleb, but we get to catch up with the other characters we know and love as well.
