Cole does not have the best relationship when it comes to his parents however he is very close to his extended family. When he wins a date with Daphne at a charity auction he is conflicted as even though he has feelings for her and her daughter Izzy the relationship between their families is less than cordial and he is worried about losing the people he is closest to.
Daphne is trying to expand her business while being there for her daughter Izzy. She knows that her family would not agree with her being in a relationship with Cole and she isn’t certain if she wants them to know until she first understands if what she shares with Cole is fun or the beginning of forever.
Both Cole and Daphne are supportive of each other but cautious due to their families which adds a little turmoil as they much choose if the reward of being with each other is worth the risk.
