After being betrayed by her boyfriend there is nothing holding MacKenzie in town, so she decides to pack up her life and head west to visit her estranged mother. Car trouble has her stranded on the side of the road near Sweetbriar Ridge where Devin not only comes to her rescue but gives her a job and a place to stay until her vehicle is fixed and she can be on her way.

Devin owns the auto shop in Sweetbriar Ridge so it is only natural when he sees a stranded motorist that he would come to their aid, and he is attracted to the woman and the car. With parts needing to be ordered and a festival coming up it leaves MacKenzie with no place to stay or a way to pay for her car repairs, so he offers a solution to both problems however the more time they spend together the less he wants her to leave.

MacKenzie is at a crossroads in her life, but she never expected to find a place to call home she seamlessly fits into Devin’s life, quickly makes friends with the other townspeople and the relationship they shared will warm your heart. I enjoyed the performance of the narrator as she performed both characters well and will have you invested in the characters and their story.
