EXCERPT:
βCome home with me.β
βWhat?β She raised an eyebrow. βIβm not going toββ
βFor Christmas,β I clarified, cutting her off. βCome back with me. You can experience all of it.β
βAre you crazy?β
βNo.β I let out a small chuckle. βBut I want to spend more time with you. And I want you to know what itβs like. A real Christmas.β
She looked away, that curtain of strawberry blonde hair covering her face so I couldnβt see her reaction. βI donβt know, Teddy. Thatβs a lot. And even if I wanted to, I have my job, and I canβt just leave right before the busiest time of the year.β
βDonβt worry about it. Iβll take care of it. Like you said, Iβm the big boss, remember?β I winked.
βYou might just be the most frustrating man Iβve ever met. Do you even know how to take no for an answer?β
βNot when I know what I want.β And what I wanted was to see her eyes light up as she watched the snow fall on Christmas Eve. Among other things that I knew I shouldnβt want. βThatβs why Iβm so good at business.β
She bit her lip. βJust business?β
βNo, Ivy,β I said, leaning in closer to her. βNot just business.β
Her breath caught in her throat, and I stepped backward, out of her personal space. Even though I desperately wanted to wrap my arm around her waist and pull her tight against my body.
βI donβt know why I keep saying yes to you.β
I flashed her a grin. βI do. Itβs because you like me.β
βAbsolutely not.β She wrinkled her nose. βI definitely do not like you.β
βAdmit it, sweetheart.β
βNo.β Ivy crossed her arms over her chest, a small scowl on her face.
I sighed. βFine. Youβre going to make me do this the hard way, arenβt you?β
βDo what?β she looked genuinely confused.
βWin you over.β
And win her heart.
Blurb:
Ivy Winters
As the head elf at Santaβs Christmasland, I never expected to be butting heads with the new executiveβor going on a date with him. But when he asked me to go home with him for Christmas, I surprised myself by saying yes.
Oh, and heβs from the North Pole.
And apparently, Iβm an elf.
Teddy Claus
Training to take over the family business was no small undertaking, but for the last few years, Iβd been working my way up through the ranks, mastering each branch of our enterprise.
But everything was different when I arrived at our Christmas themed amusement park and met her.
Maybe that was why I invited her home with me for Christmas.
It felt like Iβd been searching my whole life for something, and Iβd finally found it.
Maybe, what Iβd needed all along was Ivy by my side.
