Katya is the illegitimate daughter of the Bratva boss who was always treated different from her half sister.   She thought she could follow her own path as a ballerina until her father arranges her wedding to a violent man.   She isn’t sure how to get out of it until Lachlan saves her from her fate and claims her as his own.

Lachlan was drawn to the grace and innocence of Katya from their first meeting.   He knows he should keep his distance but when he finds out the future that is being planned for her, he doesn’t hesitate to interfere and now that he has her he isn’t ever going to let her go.

Lachlan is protective and possessive while Katya is sassy and independent.   A little suspense, a heartwarming romance and it is always fun to catch up with the O’Rourke family.  The talented ensemble of narrators only made this story even better.
