Even though Sadie has years of experience playing hockey the same can’t be said when it comes to coaching especially a men’s professional team. Everyone expects her to fail, including the team, so she decides to try an alternate approach which includes building strong relationships with her players but she never expected how strong her relationship with Leo, the team’s captain, would become.
After a serious injury that nearly ended his career Leo has found a landing spot with the Portland Fury. As he tries to adjust to his new team he agrees to an alliance with Sadie as it will benefit the team and allow them both to succeed. It was supposed to be a professional relationship however it begins to feel very personal and both their careers could be caught in the crossfire.
As the story unfolds you can feel the emotions and conflicts that Sadie and Leo are feeling which gives us deeper insight into them. They have a deep understanding of each other which only strengthen their relationship and the cast of secondary characters and the changes they made is sure to touch your heart.
