Calli has come to Dubai to ensure that the people who are responsible for what happened to her sister are held accountable. She is strong, independent and doesn’t allow people close so when Mason and his team show up to help she is resistant. She wants to handle this on her own however and has no intention of letting him help or develop feelings for him.
After retiring from his career as a Navy SEAL Mason is now part of Downrange when he and his team are tasked with working with Calli. Due to his past he doesn’t trust easily and knowing that Calli isn’t telling them everything doesn’t help.
