Penelope is the town librarian who looks to be strait laced from her button up cardigans to the way she reports any perceived wrongdoing that Declan does. Rather than the council taking him to task they decide a compromise is in order and they are now roommates. The only problem with this arrangement is he soon learns her secret and is more than willing to help with research.

Declan lives by his own set of rules, and he takes great pleasure in getting a reaction from Penelope. Becoming roommates is not a hardship and learning her secret only makes her more intriguing. He is dedicated when it comes to helping her with her research and the more time they spend together the more he wonders about facing the future without her.

The chemistry between them is off the charts and the romance is enchanting as they bring out feelings in each other that they have never felt before. When it comes to his siblings and their significant others they bring the humor and you can feel how supportive they are of each other.
