MEADOW
You know you have good friends when they build a business to make sure your dreams come true; I have the best friends anyone could ask for. Getting Green Mountain High off the ground wasn’t easy but doing it with my three best friends made it a labor of love. Now I have the bakery I’ve always wanted and have the pleasure of watching people enjoy the things I make.
My goal is to ensure my treats highlight seasonal fruits while finding new ways to incorporate cannabis and terpenes into my recipes. I love the challenge and getting to work with Rook, a local grower trying to build his own business, has been a bonus. It’s not easy hiding the crush I have on him, especially when my besties tease me about it all the time.
When Rook, in the wake of his grandfather’s death, needs help with gaining ownership of the farm, I don’t hesitate to help. I can marry my crush and still keep it friendly, at least I hope I can. When the lines between our marriage of convenience, lust, and love start to blur, will my heart be left broken? Or will the bounty of spring reveal a brighter future and a marriage that’s real?
ROOK
My grandparents always had my back when my own parents couldn’t be bothered. They taught me right from wrong while giving me strong roots burrowed deep in the farm that they always took such pride in. But as the world changed, my grandparents refused to change with it.
After my grandmother’s death, my Pops finally gave me a little bit of land to experiment with. He was less than thrilled when I started building a cannabis grow space. Still, he let me be and begrudgingly recognized the opportunity for what it was as I started to bring business in. Before I could realize all of my dreams for this new venture, Pops died and I found out about a stipulation in his will that I never expected.
The only woman I can imagine marrying is Meadow, but I’ve ignored the connection between us because I didn’t think that I could give her everything she needed. Now I need a wife to ensure I get the farm instead of my father who wouldn’t hesitate to sell it off in bits and pieces. When Meadow agrees to marry me, she thinks it’s a temporary arrangement, but I know the truth. This is my chance to take our vows and build our forever with bountiful love.

When his grandfather passes away Rook is advised that in order to inherit the family farm he needs to be married within one year. He has had feelings for Meadow for a while, but he hasn’t acted on them as he was focusing all his attention on his business, but when she offers to marry him he may finally get the woman he has always wanted.
Meadow owns a business with her best friends. She is responsible for the baked goods and one of the ingredients that she uses she gets from Rook’s farm. When she realizes that he is in danger of losing the farm he loves she doesn’t hesitate to help and hopes that their temporary marriage can become permanent.
Even though Rook and Meadow are brought together by circumstances there is no denying that love between them is very real and they will do whatever is required to protect each other and their love.
