Daisy has come to Blackthorn Bay to enhance her pastry skills by working at the bakery even knowing that her family doesn’t agree that she should be living in a town that includes paranormal residents. She is drawn to Enoch, who is a demon and the town’s psychiatrist, and she sees the man who is always there for everyone else and doesn’t allow anyone to be there for him.
Enoch doesn’t allow anyone close but with one baked treat at a time Daisy has worked her way beyond his walls and shown him not only how empty his life without her was but that he deserves the happy life they could have together.
This is a sweet and steamy romance and the small-town setting, especially the focus on the bakery, only make it more appealing. Both Daisy and Enoch were looking for their place in life and found it in each other.
