Due to his past Hunter doesn’t allow many people close but he has his team and he has his daughter and that is all he needs. Even though he is attracted to Catherine she is off limits not only because of the age gap, but she also works for the team, and her father is his coach and friend.
The internship with the team is the first step when it comes to Catherine’s career in sports medicine. She knows that she is qualified however there are others who feel she received her position based on nepotism and not on merit. Getting involved with the team captain is not going to help the situation, but some risks are worth taking.
When it comes to Hunter and Catherine you can feel their conflict which is at odds with the intense feelings they have for each other. I enjoyed seeing them overcome their reservations and fight for each other and the life they are meant to have together.
