Hope has recently moved to Saddle Creek and has purchased a remote house that she is renovating. She agrees to calm her family’s concerns by purchasing a smart watch however she soon finds out that it has a mind of its own and has a habit of calling the town’s sheriff at the most inopportune times.
Needing a change from his career as a detective in Houston Griff has returned home however the need to help others is strong so he takes over for the retired sheriff. He is concerned when he gets a call to his personal line that few people know however once he sees Hope he can’t deny the feelings he has for her including his need to protect her.
Although the reasons are very different both Hope and Griff have difficult pasts however while he is like a storm cloud she is sunny day as she shows him that the past doesn’t define them or the future they could have together.
