Storm was raised in Cedar Hollow however his upbringing was not happy, and he left at his first opportunity to pursue his hockey career. It’s been years since he left and it only his father’s passing that has brought him back. While there he sees Poppy, his first love, and realizes the impact his decision to leave had when he realizes that he has a daughter he knew nothing about.
Poppy was hurt when Storm left with no notice but finding out she was pregnant but without any way to contact him she had to move forward. She is a devoted single mother to her daughter Holly and runs the pub that she inherited from her uncle. Seeing Storm again brings up all the feelings of the past but can she trust him to not leave them a second time?
Learning about Storm’s past gives us and Poppy a better understanding of what he had been through and the choices that he made. Her need to be cautious is understandable and I enjoyed seeing Storm heal from the past so that he Poppy and Holly could have the happiness they all deserve.
