I catch a glimpse of green and red above us.
I arch a brow. âWhat is that?â
âItâs called mistletoe. You hang it for the holidays.â
I lower my gaze to meet her eyes. âI know that. I meant whenââ I circle back to earlier in the evening. âWhen you disappeared down the hallway. You were hanging mistletoe?â
âAnd this surprises you?â She smiles without an ounce of guilt.
âYouâre right. I should have assumed.â
âI hung it in all the doorways,â she stage-whispers.
