Annie realized that if she was ever going to be happy she needed to forge her own path away from those who were trying to chart her future. She is enjoying the new life she has created and that includes her attraction to Rowan, the bartender at the pub where she works, however it is what she doesn’t know about him that will send her on an adventure she didn’t see coming.
Rowan is a man with a dark past who has made mistakes, but he also tried to make amends for those mistakes. He has tried to not get too close to anyone and that includes Annie however when his past catches up with him he knows the only way he can protect her is if she with him even if that means bringing her into the line of fire with him.
