I rolled my eyes, wondering why he was taking over my movie. Seriously, this was ridiculous. All the men thought they could just come into my life and take over, especially where the films were concerned. I was pretty sure they took this more seriously than I did.

Eli came walking over to me, holding the script in his hand. “Zoe, I’m not sure how I’m supposed to play this.”

“What do you mean?”

He turned it to face me, pointing at the first line. “What is my character’s thought process here?”

I looked over the line and then up at him questioningly. “You walk into the bar and order a beer.”

“Right, but am I sad? Lonely? Should I play it cool and relaxed?”

“You’re just there to get a beer. Nothing has even happened yet. This is where you meet the girl for the first time.”

He nodded, his brows pinched. “Right, but did I have a hard day at work?”

“It was just a normal day.”

He snorted. “On the police force? I doubt there’s a normal day.”

“This was a normal day,” I said, not sure what else to tell him.

Again, he nodded. “Cuz I was thinking, what if something really drastic happened? Like, say my partner just committed suicide and I’m here to drink away my cares.”

“But your partner appears in this scene later on.”

“Right.” He frowned hard. “So, what if it was my boss?”

What was it with these guys? Why did someone always have to be killed? “Eli, is there some reason you want to deal with suicide?”

“No, I just think it would really add to the feel of the movie. You know, bring out the emotions.”

“It’s a comedy,” I said bluntly.

He rolled his eyes. “Life isn’t always a comedy.”

“No, but this script is,” I said slowly.

He sighed dramatically. “I guess it could work.”

This story focuses on all the team members of Owens Protective Services and as a bonus we get to spend some time with some of the members of Reed Security as well.

Between the filming of a romantic movie and the surprise that no one saw coming the team is in for quite the adventure.

The camaraderie is stronger than ever, the hijinks are what you have come to know and appreciate from this captivating crew and it leaves us wanting more of this entertaining series.

I’m a stay at home mom that loves to read. Some of my favorite titles are Pride and Prejudice, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Horatio Hornblower. I started writing when I was trying to come up with suggestions on ways I could help bring in some extra money. I came up with the idea that I could donate plasma because you could earn an extra $500/month. My husband responded with, “No. Find something else. Write a blog. Write a book.” I didn’t think I had anything to share on blog that a thousand other mothers hadn’t already thought of. Whitton was attracted to Eve from their first meeting however he realized they wanted different things when it came to a relationship. He doesn’t know why she is hesitant, but when she starts working for the family business he is determined to show her that the only thing that matters is the present and he is willing to accept whatever she is willing to give.

Eve has a difficult past and doesn’t believe she can be what Whitton deserves long term. The chemistry between them is undeniable but he also shows her that what they share is not only physical and she can count on him to be there for her when the past and family issues resurface.

Whitton was patient, understanding and knew Eve better than she knew herself while Eve had been trying to keep her past and family issues separate from the new life she created until they collide which caused a little turmoil but the love between them was never in doubt. The narrators were a great choice for the characters as they brought out the heat and heart of this story.
