Sebastian is a powerful man who does not allow many people close. Having Elyse work for him is both a blessing and a curse due to the feelings she inspires in him and the need to keep her close because of past events she does not remember.
Elyse finds herself trying to balance school and working for a man she does not like to fulfill a debt that shouldn’t have been hers. She tries to keep her distance as his treatment of her is deplorable but that does not mean he does not intrigue her as well and that is when things become more complicated than they previously were.
Both Sebastian and Elyse are compelling characters who are drawn to each other whether they like it or not. It is only a matter of time before the heat between ignites which only creates more chaos and the cliffhanger leaves us wanting more.

Sebastian Arturo isn’t just cruel, he’s downright terrifying.
With piercing green eyes, a body made for doing very bad things, and a charming demeanor, it’s no wonder everyone thinks the world of him… everyone except me.
When I wake up with pieces of my memory missing he’s the only one who can give me answers.
But he doesn’t give me answers, instead he tells me to stop asking questions, or else…
I heed his warning and do my best to avoid him but since he’s my boss and I live in his house that’s kinda difficult.
Then one night his hate for me reaches its breaking point…and the lines blur.
Hate twists into lustful obsession.
His cruel words become seductive praises.
One touch sparks a raging inferno of desire, and I find myself burned to ash beneath his fingertips.
Just when I think I’ll finally find happiness my memories return bringing with them a vicious truth.
Turns out the man I’m falling for isn’t who I thought he was… and escape isn”t an option. He has me right where he wants, caught in a trap, just like prey.
About JL Beck:
Beck writes steamy romance that’s unapologetic, meaning it makes no apologies for the way it rips you open and makes you crave more. Her heroes are alphas who take what they want, and she pairs them with heroines that bring them to their knees.
She loves writing about darkness, passion, suspense, and of course, steam.
Leaving her readers gasping and asking what the hell just happened is only one of her many tricks.
Her books range from morally grey to dark and spicey but always end with a happily ever after. She loves to write across numerous tropes, but her favorite is enemies to lovers.
She started her writing career in the summer of 2014 and hasn’t stopped since. She lives in Wisconsin and is a mom to two, a wife, and likes to act as a literary agent part-time.
Having escaped evil once, I live my life for every joyous minute until a chilling confrontation brings a grumpy protector into my world.

But a mere brush of hands ignites a flame I can’t deny and a craving I ache to explore. So when the elusive artist insists on walking me to work, I accept the f0rbidden thrill of his company. After all, who will see us in the dead of the night?

Only someone does…
–

From the USA TODAY bestselling author of From the Embers comes a new jaw-dropping standalone romance. Pain trapped me in this house. Can love set me free?
Death had been chasing me my entire life. I survived the horrors of war, but it was the aftermath that truly destroyed me.
People called me a recluse, but the only time I didn’t feel like I was suffocating was inside that house.
For my daughter, I kept some semblance of normalcy by implementing a rigid routine. Once a week, I forced myself to walk to the diner at the end of the block—a ritual I despised but relied on as my last anchor to the real world.
Until the day a “Closed” sign on the door shattered my fragile existence. Worse, the new owner was the most haunting ghost from my past.
It had been years since I’d laid eyes on Gwendolyn Pierce. She hated me—and rightly so. But when a film crew arrived in town to dig into my past, she became my only ally.
With my secrets threatened, I leaned on Gwen, forging a connection neither of us could deny. But with a past as dark as ours, I feared it would eclipse any hope for a future.
I always said that when Death finally came for me, I would be ready, eager, and alone. Always alone.
But for Gwen, maybe I could face the world again as long as it meant I could be alone—with her.

King is a determined billionaire… posing as a professional cuddler to get close to me.
He’s the type of man who always gets what he wants, and right now, he wants me—the socially awkward, plus-size model with intimacy issues.
I’ve never had anyone hold me, hug me – or even love me – and my therapist thinks a professional cuddler will help break down the walls I’ve built to protect my heart.
I’m skeptical at best…
But King is so good at holding me together that the line between professional and personal quickly blurs, igniting a passion I’m not prepared for.
King and I might be fifteen years apart, but our connection is undeniable.
When his true identity is revealed, I feel betrayed.
Until he proposes an irresistible deal: a fake marriage. He gets what he desires, and I get what I need.
I reluctantly agree… with boundaries of course.
Now, I just have to keep reminding myself that this isn’t real.
💗Review💗 Haven doesn’t allow anyone close, either physically or emotionally, however she has been counseled that the best way to try and heal is to hire a cuddler.
King was enchanted by Haven from the first time he saw Haven, so he arranges to become her cuddler. When the truth is revealed, he isn’t about to let her walk away so he suggests another arrangement however mistakes will be made that could end what they could have together before it really begins.
The premise of this story is different and that is only part of its appeal. Despite the tumultuous path they find themselves on the chemistry and feelings between them are undeniable as they realize that they are much stronger together than apart.
𝐑𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬by Hannah Gray is releasing August 29th!!! This is Hudson and Briar’s story and is a spinoff from the Puck Boys of Brooks University series. Check out this excerpt!
“What the fuck do you think you’re doing, Dove?” the voice growls against my head. It’s familiar. Too familiar. “Snooping, are you?”
“I, um … I just wanted to see the whole house.” I try to keep my voice from shaking, but it’s nearly impossible. “I was wondering what was in that room. I’ve seen everyone else go in there. Why can’t I?”
Being blonde, I’ve already been called dumb my entire life. Right now, I’m going to lean into that stigma and play the airhead everyone paints me to be anyway.
“I heard some of the guys talking. They said it was a library.” I make my voice whiny and extremely annoying. “I love to read. Why can’t I go in? It’s such a waste.”
I cringe, hearing the shit coming from my mouth. I sound like a pouty little kid who isn’t allowed to go on the playground. But I can’t give this man any sign of what I’m actually up to.
Slowly, the strong man moves me to face him and crowds me against the wall.
I gulp when I take in Hudson. He’s in a white T-shirt today. A T-shirt that hugs his arms deliciously.
“There’s a camera directly above the door in there,” he growls at me. “You walk in there?” His eyes narrow. “Consider yourself dead.”
His jawline is sharp, and I imagine running my finger across it and touching the stubble sprinkled on it. He’s got one of those piercing, dimpled chins you see in movies that no man actually has in real life. His blue eyes are more of a stormy-gray color today. And his dirty-blond hair falls perfectly. Like he styled it, though I’m sure he didn’t.
“S-sorry,” I whisper. My body is painfully aware that he’s holding me here, against this wall. That should scare me and make me want to run. But instead … my skin buzzes, and my heart races in my chest. “I didn’t know that I wasn’t supposed to go in there.”
He gazes down at me as if he’s waiting for me to crack. He doesn’t know me well if he thinks that I will. I was raised to lie to teachers, social workers, and police officers when they questioned me about my parents’ well-being.
“Hudson?” a voice yells from the bottom of the stairs. “Did you go into the office? The system is saying there was a breach.”
Before I realize it, Hudson’s hand covers my mouth—even though I wasn’t going to say anything anyway.
He doesn’t look flustered, though his hand presses slightly harder on my mouth. “Yeah. Uh, sorry, Rossi. I was doing my check throughout the building, and the door to the office was left unlocked.” He swallows, and I watch his neck move slowly. “All set now.”
Rossi doesn’t answer right away, but eventually, he calls back, “Uh … okay. Boss isn’t going to like that.”
“I’ll take care of it,” he snaps. “Next time, they should make sure it’s fucking locked if they don’t want this shit happening.”
Seconds later, I hear Rossi’s footsteps as he walks away from the stairs, but Hudson keeps his hand on my mouth, and I panic.
“I’m going to take my hand away from your mouth, and you’re going to go to your room. Quietly,” he says through gritted teeth. “Do you fucking understand?”
My heart pumps with fear. One second, I felt like he was possibly my ally, helping me find my bracelet and taking me to McDonald’s when I told him I was hungry. And now, I fear him.
Sluggishly, I nod, and just like he said, he pulls his hand back slowly.
As I shuffle between him and the wall, he grabs my wrist and stops me from moving farther away. “Don’t go looking for things, Dove. You’re not going to like what you find.”
BLURB:
Hudson
The first time I saw Briar James, I knew she was trouble. Maybe not as far as everyone else was concerned. But for me, she was a red-hot flag that I needed to avoid at all costs. But that wasn’t an option. After all, I was hired to be her security guard. And when she looked like an angel with a voice as sweet as syrup and the body of a temptress… the job went from hard to mission impossible.
I’ve always made myself indifferent to other people’s problems. I’ve done my job and turned a blind eye when need be. But when it came to her, for the first time in my life, I couldn’t look away. But it becomes pretty clear that she’s not nearly as helpless as she’s led on.
I’m about to learn that Briar James backs down to no one. Including me. And that I can either fight alongside her or lose her altogether. And the latter? Yeah. Not an option.
Bonnie and Clyde fought together, and they both wound up dead. The question is…will that be me and my sweet Dove’s fate too?
Briar
Hudson never looked at me when he walked into a room. Instead, he’d act like I wasn’t there at all. But I knew he saw me. I just never realized how much until the night he saved my life and kissed me in the dark. And even though my uncle was forcing me to marry another man, my heart didn’t beat the same after that night.
He called me Dove because he saw me as a helpless, pathetic girl who did as she was told. He thought I was weak. Blind to my surroundings. Obedient.
He couldn’t have been more wrong.
I’ve always heard that true love has no limits. I just never realized how true that was.
