Sadie is the vet for Mustang Mountain which also includes helping at the rodeo competition. This does not get off to a good start as not only is one of stock injured but the accompanying paperwork is questionable. She knows she needs to do what is right despite the concerns her family has and appreciates that her friend Dallas is there for support.
The feelings that Dallas has for Sadie are deeper than friends, but this is a line he hasn’t crossed. Even though others have always tried to protect her he has always considered her his equal as he knows that is what she wants. As they investigate the mystery surrounding the rodeo they also investigate their feelings as well until he makes a misjudgment they may not be able to overcome.
The combination of family tension, a town that knows everyone’s secrets, a mystery and a romance between two friends who finally acknowledge how they really feel about each other makes this an entertaining story.
