She now finds herself pretending to be someone else as she attends an exclusive school while she tries to find out who is responsible for what happened and why before her sister wakes up and is held responsible.   Falling for Connor, the brother of the girl who passed away, adds a new set of complications between the surprises and the suspense.

The feelings between Billie and Connor were immediate and intense as Billie struggles to find out who is friend and who is foe as a misstep could not only hurt her sister but herself as well.

Foster is very cautious about letting people close in part due to being raised in foster care and in part due to being hurt by the woman he loved.   From the outside looking in he seems be living a charmed life as a professional football player, but it is only when Eden starts working for him that he realizes there is so much more to life than the way he has been living it.

Eden was raised in foster care as well and despite the experience she refuses to let it define her.   She too is cautious about letting people close but once she does she is all in.   The connection that she and Foster share over their pasts is everything as they feel the security to share things with each other that they have never shared before.
